It was a refreshing afternoon when Xie Lian finally managed to find some free time. Xie Lian was about to call the ghost when he came across it dancing a choreography he had made himself. His Royal Highness stopped and leaned against the open door as he watched the ghost dance. It was so graceful and attractive at the same time. One of these days he should demonstrate his dancing talents as well. Xie Lian, with his silly smile on his face, ended up being discovered by Hua Cheng as soon as the ghost turned around to do one of the steps in his choreography.

"Gege!?" Hua Cheng exclaimed in surprise.

"Good afternoon."

Hua Cheng crossed his arms and decided to play along with the elder.

"Enjoying the view?" Hua Cheng asked with a mischievous smile.

"Always."

Hua Cheng smiled sincerely, he enjoyed this feeling, the feeling of being loved. He could finally say that he was happy.

"So, why did Gege arrive early?"

"I've managed to get some time to spend with my husband, you know him?"

"No...I've never met him. What's he like?"

"Hmm...he looks mean but deep down he's like a child."

"Wow, looks like I don't stand a chance then."

"Not at all."

Hua Cheng made a sullen face and turned his head to the side.

Xie Lian walked towards his husband, hugging him tightly as he looked up directly at the face of the man he was hugging.

Hua Cheng hugged him back so tightly as if the man could slip out of his arms and never appear again.

"What does Gege want to do in his free time?"

"I was thinking about taking a walk around that village full of beautiful landscapes that I found the last time I went down there. The landscapes are so beautiful, and to think that it's all natural. I thought maybe we could capture one of the beautiful landscapes there."

"That's a great idea Gege! We can use the paints I made last week."

"Absolutely! Your paints are the best San Lang! I'm lucky to have such a talented husband."

Hua Cheng quickly touched his lips against Xie Lian's, who was looking at him with a glint in his eyes.

"Then I'll go grab the paints and we can go." He said smiling.

As soon as Hua Cheng returned with his art materials, he and Xie Lian teleported to the beautiful village that enchanted Xie Lian so much. They walked for a while until they found a deserted space at the perfect height. The couple stopped at the top of a hill full of flowers and overlooking a clear, sparkling lake. It was simply enchanting.

"San Lang, this is it! This place is perfect! What do you think?"

"This vision is perfect for a painting. Gege really has a good outlook on things."

Xie Lian smiled.

"Shall we paint?" His Highness asked.

Hua Cheng nodded and handed over everything he thought Xie Lian would need to him.

"Thank you." Xie Lian thanked.

When he was about to sit down on the lawn, he was interrupted by Hua Cheng.

"Gege. Wait, this lawn might get your clothes dirty, let me put this towel on the lawn first."

"Oh, no need San Lang."

"I insist Gege."

"Alright then, since you insist."

Hua Cheng took out a towel that he had painted with the image of Xie Lian's palace and placed it on the lawn at Xie Lian's feet.

Xie Lian smiled as he saw Hua Cheng's painting. He was so proud of the ghost, after everything the man had been through, and yet he had continued to follow him as his most loyal devotee. Xie Lian was glad that Hua Cheng had finally achieved his goals.

"Thank you San Lang." He said, sitting on the towel, leaving some space for Hua Cheng to sit too. "Join me, come."

"No need Gege. I'll sit on the lawn next to you."

"Then I'll stay on the lawn too."

"No, your clothes will get dirty."

"Yours too. If mine would get dirty, yours would too. So don't be stubborn and sit next to me."

Hua Cheng gave up arguing with Xie Lian knowing that he would always give in to the elder and sat on the edge of the towel together with his lover. Xie Lian smiled and picked up the canvas and paints and kissed one of the cheeks of the ghost next to him.

Hua Cheng, surprised, felt his cheeks burn and turned his face away so that Xie Lian wouldn't notice. The same man who pretended not to notice the blush on his lover's face let out a nasal laugh upon seeing the man's reaction.

They both began to paint the landscape ahead in silence. But not an awkward silence, but a cozy and comfortable silence. Until Xie Lian began to feel a few drops on his skin. It was rain. The sky was crying. Which only made the day more beautiful.

Hua Cheng opened his umbrella, protecting Xie Lian from the rain. The elder took the umbrella from Hua Cheng's hand, gently placing it on the ground to protect the unfinished paintings, and stood up.

Xie Lian offered his hand for Hua Cheng to stand up. The confused ghost accepted his husband's hand and stood up as well. Xie Lian pulled him into a tight, affectionate hug, which was returned by the red-robed figure who was still confused.

"Gege might get a cold, we should go under the umbrella."

"Come on, San Lang, gods don't get constipated, besides we'd miss this refreshing bath of paradise! Come on, let's dance!"

Hua Cheng couldn't help but smile at the elder's excitement, it was so good to see him happy.

Then the Ghost King pulled Xie Lian closer, placing one hand on his waist and the other holding his hand. Xie Lian tightly grabbed onto the crimson figure and pulled him back and forth as he danced happily across the flowery lawn under the falling water.
Hua Cheng twirled Xie Lian with one hand and he spun gracefully as if he was fighting. Xie Lian stopped spinning and leaned back slightly, allowing Hua Cheng to hold him by the back as he leaned along with him.

Both of them were staring at each other intensely when Xie Lian decided to press his lips against the crimson figure in front of him, causing the two to begin a passionate kiss. As soon as Xie Lian stopped the kiss, they both smiled at each other and went back to twirling around on the lawn. They whirled back and forth, dancing the waltz of heaven's tears. But these tears did not fall in the form of loss, but rather in the form of blessing, in the form of hope for those who were in drought.

And all because the heavens were moved by the connection of those smiling and dancing figures.
