Xie Lian staggered into the house with exorbitant dizziness.

"Gege? How are you?" Hua Cheng asked as soon as he saw his husband.

"Yeah, just a little dizzy." He said as he sat down.

"Are you sure?" Hua Cheng asked, becoming increasingly worried. It wasn't normal for gods to feel this way.

"I'm sure. Thanks for your concern San Lang."

"Alright then I'll prepare something for Gege to eat." He said while leaving.

As soon as Hua Cheng withdrew, a figure in white appeared in Xie Lian's plane of vision.

The man blinked his eyes several times to confirm that he was hallucinating because the figure in white was wearing a mask identical to Bai Wu Xiang's.

Xie quickly stood up staggering behind.

"Missed me?" Asked the figure.

It couldn't be him! Impossible! He was dead!

Xie Lian had a look of terror on his face.

"Who are you? And what are you doing in my resdence?" He asked with a tremor in his voice.

"Now, don't you recognize me XianLe?" He asked approaching the god.

"You're not him! He's dead!"

"I'm in front of you. This is not a hallucination. I've come back to reclaim my throne."

"WHO ARE YOU!? I HAVE NO PATIENCE!" He said, pointing the sword that was stuck in the wall at the figure in white.

"So you won't believe me? You have always been very stubborn."

Xie Lian then advanced towards the figure, but it didn't even move. After all, Xie Lian would have struck the wind with that sword.

Dianxia felt his legs weaken and he gave in, falling to his knees on the ground and dropping his sword.

"Oh, how foolish. Poor Dianxia. Are you really dizzy?"

"W-What did you do to me?" He asked with difficulty.

"Oh nothing. I'm just draining your spiritual energy."

Xie Lian coughed out blood and Bai Wu Xiang came closer to the god and grabbed his chin, pulling him to face him.

"Bastard." Was the only thing Xie Lian could say before he felt a sword piercing his chest.

The god coughed up more blood and faced the figure in front of him.

"Do you know what you're feeling right now? It's the sour taste of the end of your miserable little life. You're no longer immortal, Xie Lian. You're dying."

Ah, so this was what death felt like. Xie Lian couldn't resist. He should have died ages ago. He only felt sorry for having to leave Hua Cheng so suddenly. If he had to die, he wanted it to at least be in Hua Cheng's arms, but it seemed like that wish of his could not be fulfilled.

Hua Cheng arrived in the room with a plate of food in his hand when he came across the scene of the figure in white standing still and Xie Lian lying on the floor with crimson around him. It couldn't be. He couldn't have come back. That was impossible!

The plate in Hua Cheng's hand was thrown to the ground and the ghost headed towards his husband.

"Gege! Gege! Gege please talk to me! GEGE!"

Xie Lian, who barely had any sense of sight, gave a genuine smile and tried to say:

"I...l...o...v...e...you." And then his eyes closed and his muscles relaxed.

Tears streamed down the ghost's face as he hugged the now lifeless body in his arms.

Hua Cheng placed a kiss on Xie Lian's forehead and looked, still in tears, at the figure watching him.

"My robes are crimson for a reason. But they're fading, I think I'll have to touch them up with your blood."

Hua Cheng quickly stood up with E-ming in his hand who looked just as angry as he was.

E-ming's blade quickly passed through the neck of the figure who didn't move even a millimeter. The head of the figure in white was chopped off and was then crushed by Hua Cheng's boots.

The ghost king bent down and picked up the ring around Xie Lian's neck.

"I'm coming after you, my beloved. Just as I've always done. I've followed you for eternity and now I'll follow you into another life. I love you." And then he broke the ring into pieces.

And the ghost slowly disappeared, turning into ashes.
