After the brief conversation between Xie Lian and Mu Quing (who was now unconscious), Feng Xin decided to take the man back to his palace before he revealed any more secrets.

Xie Lian stayed at the party until the end, socializing with the gods present, having fun and making sure that things didn't get out of control.

As soon as the party ended with only Pei Ming, Pei Su, Banyue and Xie Lian present in the palace, His Royal Highness decided to go looking for Hua Cheng. He said goodbye to the rest, in fact it was just Pei Su and Banyue as Pei Ming was almost passed out from being so drunk.

"Everything went well. And how was the party, Gege?" He asked while caressing Xie Lian's back.

"It was good! Oh, I have to show San Lang the gift I received from Banyue!"

"I would love to see it! But first I need Gege to come with me!" He said, stopping to caress his beloved's back and holding his chin so that Xie Lian would pay more attention.

"Something happened?" He asked concerned.

"No, I just need you to see something."

"Alright, let's go."

Hua Cheng nodded and teleported both of them to the said place.

As soon as they arrived at the place, Xie Lian's jaw dropped.

Hua Cheng let tears of happiness escape from his eyes with a blush on his cheeks.

"Would Gege like to observe the landscape with me?" He asked, separating himself from his lover and just holding his hands.

"I would love to, San Lang."

Hua Cheng sat on the ground and carefully pulled Xie Lian onto his lap.

"San Lang!"

"Sorry! But Gege couldn't get his clothes dirty on this filthy floor!"

Xie Lian let out a chuckle.

"All right. This time I won't argue about it."

Xie Lian just accepted his fate and snuggled into Hua Cheng's lap who smiled with a slight blush on his cheeks.

That dawn shone together with the stars and the moon. The sky was so beautiful this morning that it made the lovers fall in love again. And under the moonlight the two remained until the sun rose.

It was also under the moonlight that Hua Cheng painted the sleeping god.

That was definitely the best birthday Xie Lian had ever had.
