Hua Cheng watched Xie Lian from the doorway as he read. Until he remembered that the god had told him that there were stories that portrayed the two of them as a couple.

"Gege?" Hua Cheng called from the door.

Xie Lian took his eyes off the book he was reading to admire who was calling him.

"What do you need, San Lang?" He asked affectionately.

"Could...Could Gege read those stories to San Lang?"

Xie Lian smiled.

"Why not? Come sit next to me and I'll read some to San Lang!" He said, putting the book he was reading aside and looking for the book of stories that Hua Cheng would like to hear.

The ghost went towards the bed quickly laying down on Xie Lian's lap.

The god smiled.

Hua Cheng smiled.

"So, the first story I have here is: The Dance of Paradise."

"Interesting title. What is this story about?" He asked curiously and Xie Lian blushed.

"San Lang will soon find out."

In the twilight of that day, a scrap collector, more specifically a god, walked the streets of the ghost city looking for some type of service to earn some money for the renovation of his sanctuary. As the scrap collector walked the streets of the ghost city he was offered samples of anything and everything, anything imaginable but no job offers.

So the god decided to stop at a nearby bar to rest. When he passed through the door, Xie Lian didn't even have time to observe the situation and was pulled into some kind of dressing room.

"Yo havi the perfict body for perrrrforming! Do yo knuw how to dance?" Asked the ghost who had dragged him there.

"Um...yes?" He replied confused.

"Good! So I'm goingi to pout the clotches there. Your payment will come froum the customers behind the curtaain who are wauiting for a presentaition!"

"Okay..?" He replied confusedly as he headed to the indicated location. As long as he earned some money, Xie Lian wouldn't mind dancing, after all it was an art similar to fighting.

After a few minutes Xie Lian had his clothes on, but well, they were kind of...vulgar.

"Um, excuse me ma'am, I don't know if this outfit would be suitable for a choreography. And...I don't even know what I'll have to dance."

"It's a good outifit! Now, geti in therrre, they'rrre waiting! Geti in therrre ande dance something that you can earrrn some mouney."

Before the martial god could argue, he was pushed to the middle of the stage which was watched by several ghosts. But not ordinary ghosts, ghost kings. That's right! Xie Lian would dance for two of the ghost kings! Two! And a few more ghosts of sufficient status. As soon as Xie was pushed onto the stage, they both looked at the man. The god was getting more and more nervous, but he was already there and in the territory of one of them! What could a scrap-picking god do? Apparently, just dance.

Hua Cheng who had been bored with the previous performances now watched the man in the middle of the stage intently. He didn't know what or why but the one dancing now had caught his attention, he was... simply so beautiful and magnetic.

Xie Lian, who didn't know whether to laugh or cry, saw no other alternative than to do what he was paid to do: dance.

The Martial God danced beautifully with light yet precise movements. Graceful yet intimidating movements. He danced with such confidence that it seemed like this place belonged to him.
