"Will Solace and Nico Di Angelo." The Teacher called, before continuing to read out partners.
Will walked over to Nico's table. Nico glared at him.
"Twice in one day? On your first day? Looks like you're not getting rid of me anytime soon."
Will smiled at him and Nico's glare turned to Will-skewering intensity."You act like that's a good thing."
"Now," The teacher continued, "Your assignment is to write a sensory poem about your partner. Think about what they look like, what they sound like. And remember to include all the senses in your descriptions!"
Nico shot the lady teaching his laser-beam eyes. "Write a poem. Are you serious."
He shook his head.
"Okay sunshine, Let's see. You look like annoying. Sound like annoying. You-"
"Okay, okay, I get it." Will laughed. He tried to ignore the little jump his heart preformed when Nico called him Sunshine, and the way it was skipping now at the sight of his smirk and midnight-obsidian eyes."But actually." He glanced at his paper, and then back up at Nico, who was still scowling, and not even making an attempt to write. He had to think for a moment.
Eventually he started writing.
Five minutes later he looked back up at Nico to meet those perfect dark eyes and angelic features, for once not twisted into a frown.
They stared at each other a moment.
His raven hair hung in his eyes. Will suddenly noticed how long his eyelashes were, and he was almost disappointed when the teacher said "Allright guys, Finishing up."
"Like we're in kindergarten." Nico muttered. Will blinked back to himself.
He walked out of the class dazed. How did he manage to develop a crush so quickly?
'Cause he had it bad. He had fallen for an emo boy.
Well maybe not quite emo, but still.
Three weeks later he re-read his poem.
He smells like a cool breeze on a parched day,
He looks like a moon flower opening into the moonshine,
He sounds like an Angelic choir of sarcasm,
He feels like a materialism of the purest shadow,(He had had trouble with that one,)
And he tastes like...
He never had filled that in.
But now he did.
And he tastes like bittersweet perfection.
A/N:
Okay, this is probably my favourite so far, even though I suck at poetry. Also, 325 words! Still tiny, but longer? Ish?
