(Takes place in the scene where Nico and Will meet and Nico's deciding to try to assassinate Octavion.)
That was when the Lord of Darkness himself appeared.
He seemed to be spit out by the shadows, and he stumbled as he hit the ground. He hugged Thalia's pine tree for support, and didn't even seem to notice that one of his hands was partially made of shadow.
Will watched Nico examine the terrain. He thought he could tell you what was happening in his brain.
Mainly because he was glaring at the command tent like it had just murdered his cat.
And he said, "This is Evil, Pure Evil."
Nico had fought with Camp Half-blood in the Titan War, Turning up in the middle of battle and basically saving everyone's butts. After that he kind of just came and went from camp, disappearing for long periods of time and generally making it hard for Will to introduce himself. Will had also heard a lot about him from Coach Hedge, who he had talked to after Chuck was born, mainly to keep himself distracted from the... Memories of the delivery.
And then Nico Whipped around, and almost killed him. Luckily for Will's face, Nico's sword was about an inch too short to cut off his nose.
And that was how Will met his soulmate. Ah, so touching.
