2 Alternative endings to the sun and the star YES ITS OUT WHERE I LIVE AND I GOT IT AND THEN READ IT IN ONE NIGHT AND AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

But anyways. Fangirl over. Don't read if you haven't already read the sun and the star. :) (Or I mean, you could, I don't think it gives too much away, but..)

Also, I didn't quite manage to capture the feeling TSATS gave me, but, I mean, I tried.

Will Thinks:

Will had always thought of love as cherishing someone, holding deep affection for all the best parts of them.

In fact, sometimes the only elements of them you could see were the best parts. Love meant, sure, accepting whoever they might be, but also bathing them in the warmth you held for them, helping them in hard times, comforting them, ridding them of their demons, conveying your love anyway possible.

But then he met Nico. He had fallen for him.

Then they had fallen into Tartarus. And, sadly, no, not Tarta-sauce.

But now, as he watched Nico embrace his demons, literally, re-named as something as harmless as cocoa-puffs, in the full sunlight of the world above, he knew.

Love was all those things.

But mainly it was accepting. Finding meaning in every touch, every word, every kiss. It was identifying the darkness and loving that too. It, darkness, was a part of everyone. You couldn't love without light, but you couldn't live without darkness. Light was meaningless without it's flipside.

Love was that heartwarming feeling he got around Nico, but Will was now starting to realise that it was also rough around the edges, and forever dependable.

A perfect infusion of light and dark, the sun and the stars.

It was how he loved Nico Di Angelo.

It was this.

Chiron almost organises Nico and Will's lunch:

"Boys!" Chiron galloped over to them. "Its good to see you." He examined them. "I'm so proud. But you are probably impatient. I'm sure you're hungry. And I want to hear everything."

Will stopped him before he could summon the whole camp to make them lunch.

"That sounds amazing." He said. "But we just got through Tartarus."

Nico looked at him and silent understanding passed through them. "First I think we may need some rest."

Will grinned at him. "Pulled the words right out of my mouth."

The two boys smiled, wrapped in a moment only they could understand. After what they had been through, they were pretty sure that they wouldn't be able to ever fully recover. Their moments like this were going to be frequent. It was like Tartarus had melded them into one person, and now they had each other they weren't going to let go.

A/N:

Was that cheesy and philosophical enough for y'all?
