As I walked into the kitchen, I took a deep breath. Decker turned to look at me, and I missed him and Seth terribly. It was ridiculous."Hey Beth, what's up?" he asked me.

"Hey Decker, I'm okay. I didn't mean to bother you. I came to thank you for answering my text and letting me know that you and Seth were alive and well," I said.

"No problem. It was the right thing to do. But are you sure you're okay? You look like you were crying," he said.

"Well, it's just that I spoke to Seth... I mean, I deserved the coldness, so it's fine," I replied, trying to calm myself down before I broke down in front of him.

"What happened between you two?" he asked.

"Well, after the awkwardness, I just asked him if I could drop off his birthday gift at his house tonight because I know he was born at midnight. Well, he straight up told me no because he's having people over, his parents, and it's too much. So maybe tomorrow or honestly, just drop it off anytime when I'm free," I explained.

"Ahh, well, I understand that can be harsh, but Seth is having people over. He wasn't lying to you about that," Decker said.

"Yeah, I figured. So I saw you came with Seth and his parents. That's nice. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves. And that girl, is she a family member? I miss hanging around you guys," I whispered.

"Yeah, we did have fun. And no, there's no family relation. She came with us. It was a fun day. And it's for the best and what you wanted, Beth," Decker said.

"Great. I'm going to go. I have to clean up. Let me go do what I was paid to do. Thanks for chatting with me," I said, trying to smile, and I heard him sigh after giving me a smile.I rushed outside back to my table and started cleaning up. The majority of the guests had cleared out. All that was left was that girl and Seth's parents, and of course, Decker. They all got up to leave together. It was gut-wrenching.

"Hey Beth, can I help you clean up?" Ella said.

"Ella, you really don't have to. You've done so much today. Just go home. I'll be out shortly," I said.

"I'm not going anywhere until we're both done and ready to leave. So let's start throwing away the trash," Ella said, winking at me.

"Okay, Ella. Thanks. I appreciate it," I said, and we both started cleaning.

"Beth, I know it's not my place, most likely, but do you like Seth and Decker?" she asked.

"I mean, I can't lie. My behavior today was obviously due to seeing them with Nikki. Well, Decker clearly told me she came with them," I said.

"I can tell you nothing is happening between them other than the fantasy in her head," she said.

"Well, I'm not sure. Decker says she personally came with them, and I was stupid enough to ask if she was a cousin, even though I clearly knew the answer," I said, and we both laughed.

"Beth, your name has been swinging in my office for the past month. And I can tell there were very big emotions when it came to you. But I can't lie and say Seth was upset or in pain. He actually was crazy to work for the past month," she said.

"I hurt them. I did, especially Seth. And that's where I fucked up. But he won't even let me speak without just saying no or just shutting down. Opening up to each other, he won't even let me give him his birthday present tonight even though I want to so bad," I said.

"Then go in the morning. If you truly want them to listen and see you again as they did, I think you have to fight force them. We all know when men get their egos hurt, they're blind," Ella said.

"You're right. I have to. I miss them. I do, even their little antics that would piss me off," I said.

"Then go get them, girl. You're too pretty to be frowning and in tears," she said.

"Oh, you noticed," I said, feeling awkward. "I mean, hard to miss. But you got this," she said and walked me to my car.

The next morning, I woke up early and started my drive with groceries in my hand. Finally, I made it to Seth's home 45 minutes later, with traffic that was ludicrous.

I knocked on the door and took a deep breath. I hoped this wouldn't go terrible, and I waited for the door to open. And it did, and I saw Seth's parents, and I wanted to roll over and die.

"Oh, Mr. and Mrs. Scott, I'm so sorry. I was just coming to deliver this," I said awkwardly.

"Good morning, Beth. I'm sorry. I have to get these bags in the car," Mr. Scott said, and I moved out of the way.

"Come in, honey. You can drop these groceries on the table," Mrs. Scott said, smiling.

I walked in and put the groceries on the counter and Seth's gift on the table."Well, honey, we have to go, but the boys are in the room sleeping. So please let them know we had a nice time. Big have to get back," she said, and gave me a hug and walked out. But turned back around."Oh, and I thought that I should let you know, Nikki didn't stay over. I helped her get home last night," she said and winked. I smiled and laughed a little.

I got back inside, closed the door, and started cooking breakfast. I made Seth's favorite meal since it was his birthday, and I put the plates on the table. I walked into their room to wake them up. I knocked softly on the door and took a breath, and heard two moans. So I opened the door, and I had both of them looking directly at me, confused. But no lie such a beautiful sight to see them lying in bed together with no one else's company like the fears of different scenarios happening in my head. It did put my nerves to rest a little.

"Good morning, guys

"Good morning, guys. Um, Seth, happy birthday, and your parents let me in, and I cooked you breakfast, and I brought your present," I said awkwardly.

"That's nice of you, Beth. Good morning," Decker said, stretching.

"Uh, nice... Sure, and thank you, Beth. Um, I'm naked, so if you want to let me get dressed, I'll be down soon," Seth said and waited for me to leave.

"I'll go with you, Beth. Let's go! Seth will meet us," Decker said, getting up and pulling my hand. And I swear electricity ran through my veins. I walked behind him, and somehow, I needed to make them listen and show them I, at least, wanted to be here and around them.  As I walked into the kitchen, I took a deep breath. Decker turned to look at me, and I missed him and Seth terribly. It was ridiculous.
