Bella Hummel was taken by whom you might ask. Over the summer, Bella Hummel and Quinn Fabray spent their summer nights together when they could with the two girls going on a dates and spontaneous adventures and Quinn had asked Bella the question when the two were baking cupcakes in Quinn's kitchen bringing back all the memories from when the two made cupcakes for the bake sale.

Haper Shaw stands leaning against the locker door near to her best friend's locker looking at Bella Hummel whose hair was highlighted with light brown, taking out her AP class textbooks that she needed for the first two periods, "So, How was your summer? I feel like we haven't seen each other or Malik,"
Bella playfully rolled her eyes, "Whenever I wasn't with Quinn, Kurt or Mercedes, I was always with you, and for Malik, I think he went on vacation with his parents," Harper smirked, "And of course I am your favourite friend,"
"Best friend," Bella added making Harper smirk widen more, "Mmm," Harper now comes to her best friend's side linking their arms together after Bella closed her metal locker, "And you are mine,"
The duo walked further down the hallway with their arms still linked as they see Quinn, Santana and Brittany all getting interviewed by Jacob Ben Israel — well more like Santana's new boobs were getting interviewed by the pervert sophomore what Santana had gotten over the summer with her split of the money her and Harper had gotten from the bed the New Directions all had on Quinn and Bella.
Bella and Harper, the cherished duo hadn't seen their male best friend ever since the start of summer where they all went to Puck's party who invited the New Directions plus most of the McKinley to his house party before Malik James had to go on vacation with his parents to sunny Malibu beach.
Harper hadn't paid attention to her best friend's undivided attention when they had bumped into a boy that Harper had never seen before with a blue letterman jacket. "Watch where you're going, new kid,"

Bella helped the boy pick up his textbooks from the floor as Sam Evans stared at the girl who had helped him and to the girl who's arms were crossed over her chest, "There you go," Bella smiled kindly to the new kid handing his books to him.
Sam's hand grazed against Bella's hand when he took the books from her hands, "I'm Sam," the big lipped kid introduced himself, "Sam I am, and I don't like green eggs and ham,"
Harper's eyebrows quirked up at the boys joke as Bella's laugh rung out through the hallway and had put a smile on the Sam kid's face, "I'm guessing you're new," Harper stated, "Because that joke was terrible and I have never seen someone with such big lips before,"
