"I've been trying to call you." Bucky said as he approached Steve, who was drinking as he sat in the living room while staring hard at the fire.  "Where's Y/N?"

"Downstairs." Steve answered and went back to pour himself another drink.

"Steve." Bucky sighed, "Are you serious? Did you at least give her a chance to explain?"

"Why should I, Buck?" Steve said, "We have seen the files, the photos. What more do I need?"

"Steve, you heard what Stark said. He doesn't know where the files came from. What if this is all HYDRA's plan? Maybe they're trying to mess with us?" Bucky said.

"I don't give a shit." Steve said.

"I'm gonna get her out of there. She doesn't deserve this." Bucky said.

"Just leave her down there, Buck." Steve was next to Bucky and holding him back from going down. "Just don't."

"She is my best friend. I want to talk to her." Bucky said.

"No, Buck." Steve sighed, "Just leave her alone."

"Fine. Are you sure this is what you wanna do?"

"Yes." Steve sipped his drink. "I am."

"Okay, then. But I have a feeling you're going to regret this." Bucky turned to leave, "Have a good night."

The next day Bucky once again came to visit Steve. He tried talking to Steve to go down and talk to you but he wasn't listening. So, Bucky went down to the cells and found you crying in one. Hands cuffed and linked to the wall.

Bucky went in and kneeled in front of you, "Hey, Y/N. It's me." He said softly.

"Bucky?" You said, "What are you doing here?"

"I'm here to talk to you." He said.

"I-I didnt do anything, Bucky. I swear." You cried.

"I know, Y/N." He said, putting a hand on your shoulder. "I trust you."

"But why isn't he believing me?" You asked.

"I don't know. I tried talking to him but he isn't listening." Bucky said, "Can you tell me exactly how you met Rumlow?"

"Yeah." You nodded, wiping away your tears. "He came to the cafe on my last week. And then we talked. It was nothing much. He just came and complimented for the coffee and croissant and then left. He came everyday then. But on my last day when the employees gave me a party he came and told me that he likes me."

"He what?" Bucky asked.

"Yes. He told me that he likes me. But I told him no, that I had a boyfriend. He backed off. I bumped into him outside the cafe many days later. He still tried to talk me into dating. Kept saying to give him a chance, that he was a good guy." You said.

"Okay." Bucky nodded. "Did you tell him it was Steve?"

"No. I didn't." You said, "Bucky, how do you know him?"

"He's a hunter, Y/N." Bucky said. "He works for HYDRA."

"Oh my God." You gasped. "I should've told Steve. I should have told him." You once again sobbed.

"Hey, this isn't your fault. You didn't know about him." Bucky said and hugged you. "It's all gonna be okay, Y/N. I promise you. I'll talk to Steve."

"He won't listen, Buck." You said, "He won't."

"She's right. I won't." Steve said, standing outside the cell. "What are you doing here  Buck? I told you to leave her alone."

"I couldn't. I needed to hear her side of the story, which you ignored." Bucky said and stood up. "How long were you here?"

"Just came down." Steve said. "We have to go. We do have a business to run. Come on."

Bucky sighed and turned back to you, "I'll see what I can do. But I have to go." He said as soon as Steve left and then followed him upstairs.

Steve busied himself in meetings for the next few days. He didn't even go home some nights. He had told his butler, Arnold to give you food only once a day. Steve knew it was wrong but he wanted information from you. And when Steve was home he didn't visit you. He was constantly trying to ignore your feelings which he was feeling through the bond.

One day when him and Bucky were having a small discussion in his office about a new deal, the windows broke all of a sudden. A gust of red energy came through and Steve was pushed against the wall. A women appeared in the window, red flares coming out of her hand as she held Steve against the wall. "Where is Y/N? Where is she?!"

Bucky groaned as he sat up and looked at the woman, "Wanda?"
