"So, where did she go?" Wanda asked when Steve came down an hour after you left the mansion.

"Don't know. She said she'd tell me later." Steve said, pouring himself a glass of whiskey before downing it in one go. Then filling up another.

"But why leave?" Bucky asked.

"She said she needs time to come in terms about what happened. Especially her powers. She is also scared of me not trusting her again. That's why she left." Steve said and kept drinking.

Natasha snorted, "Of course she is."

"Relax, she'll come back." Tony said. "I haven't met her but she doesn't seem like a girl who'd leave you."

"I know that, Stark." Steve said. "But Rumlow is still out there. What if he gets to her?"

"She'll be fine, Steve." Bucky said and his phone pinged with a text. "Oh. It's from Y/N."

"What did she say?" Steve asked.

"She wants to talk to me. And she told me not to tell you where she is." Bucky said.

Steve groaned, slamming his glass on the table in front of him. "Damn it. Is she safe?"

"Yeah." Bucky said, "Don't worry. I'll talk to her."

"Make sure she is okay, Buck." Steve said, "I can't lose her again."

"I will."

Arriving at Ed's place, Bucky knocked on the door and waited. "Hey, come in." Eddie let him in.

"Where's Y/N?" Bucky asked.

"In the guest room. She told me what happened." Ed said. "Is it true what she said about my family?"

"Yeah." Bucky nodded, "It is."

"Oh God." Eddie groaned. "I just want to punch Rogers' face right now."

"Get in line." Bucky said, "Come on. Let's talk to her."

"Yeah." Ed sighed, leading Bucky to the room you were in.

"Hey, bestie." Bucky said as he sat down next to you, while Ed sat on the other side. "How are you?"

"I'm good. Just confused and scared." You said.

"About your powers?" Bucky asked.

"Yeah." You said. "When they were controlling me. I felt like I knew everything. But now I don't know anything." You said. "This is just too much for me."

"I know, Y/N." Bucky said, wrapping his arm around your shoulder. "You can ask Wanda. She can help you with your powers."

"How is Steve? I stabbed him." You said.

"He's fine. All of his other wounds are healed. But this one would take some time as you used a wooden knife. Those are lethal for us." Bucky said.

You nodded, "I'm sorry, Buck. I tortured you a lot. I didn't mean to hurt you that much." You said.

"Hey, it's fine." Bucky said, "You did what you had to."

"How are your other friends?" You asked.

"They're fine." Bucky said.

"Okay." You sighed, "I'm scared, Bucky. What if Steve won't trust me again?"

"He will. And he was beating himself a lot about what he did to you." Bucky said. "Did he go down on his knees and apologize like he said he would?"

You chuckled a little, "He said he'd do that?"

"Yeah. I told him if he didn't apologize like that then I'd kill him." Bucky said.

"He did." You said.

"Well, good for him." Ed said. "Give him a hard time, Y/N. Don't forgive him quickly. Let him understand how it feels when your heart is removed by the person you love and stomped on."

'But Ed-"

"He's right, Y/N. Show him how it feels." Bucky said. "You can keep texting me just like you said to Steve and I'll tell him you're okay."

"Okay." You said. "Thank you so much, Bucky. Thank you for understanding me."

"Hey, come on." Bucky scoffed, "What are best friends for?"

"For hugs." You said and hugged him.

"Aww." Bucky hugged you back and squeezed you. "I'm hungry. Can we get a pizza?"

"Sure. You guys talk. I'll go order." Ed said as he left the room to get the take out menu.

"Is she okay? Where is she?" Steve bombarded Bucky with question as soon as he stepped in his mansion.

"I am not telling you where she is." Bucky said, "But she is good."

"Thanks." Steve said. "The others left. Wanda is in your old room. Do you want something to eat?"

"No, thanks. I ate with Y/N." Bucky said.

"Sure." Steve said. "What did she want to talk about? Can you tell me that at least."

Bucky sighed, "That is something she should tell you herself, Steve. I know you're worried about her but she is fine."

"Is she really scared of me, Buck?" Steve asked him.

"Yeah. She is." Bucky said.

"I messed up, pal. I messed up completely." Steve said. "Y/N is the only good thing that happened to me and I...." Steve trailed off.

"It's good you realise that, Steve." Bucky said. "I'm gonna go to bed. You should too."

"Okay." Steve said, taking a deep breath to stop the tears.

"Hey, one more thing." Bucky said as Steve went up the stairs. "She still loves you."

Steve smiled at his words, "Thanks."
