Chapter 19

Bucky groaned as he sat up and looked at the woman, "Wanda?" He couldn't believe what was happening. "What the hell?"

But she ignored him and flew upto Steve, hovering in front of him, "Where is Y/N?"

"Why should I tell you?" Steve said. He was guessing Wanda was a witch.

"I'm here guardian. Her godmother. It's my duty to protect her." Wanda said, and pushed Steve more against the wall. "So, tell me. Where is she?"

"Wanda. Please, stop. Can you tell me what's happening?" Bucky said.

Wanda turned to look at him and lets Steve just fall to the ground. "First tell me where Y/N is."

Bucky sighed, "We found she is working for HYDRA. Steve has her locked in the cells at his place."

"What?!" She yelled. "You locked her up?" She looked back at Steve.

"Y/N is a hunter. She was sent to kill us. What was I supposed to do?" Steve said, standing back up. "Let me guess. You are a witch?"

"Yes. I am." Wanda said.

"You said you're Y/N's godmother? How's that possible?" Bucky asked.

"If I tell you.... are you boys going to trust me?" She asked.

"Depends." Steve sighed.

"Yes. Because you've already made up your mind." Wanda said to Steve.

Steve scoffed and laughed, "I have seen the proof, Wanda. Her father was a hunter for HYDRA."

"And her mother?" Wanda said. "Do you know about her?"

"No, we don't." Bucky said.

"Her mother was my sister. She was a witch." Wanda said. "Dave and Lilian fell in love with each other when he was still a hunter. When Lili told him she was a witch he didn't hesitate, because he loved her." She sighed, "But when HYDRA found out, they told him to kill her."

"What did he do then?" Bucky asked.

"He left. She was pregnant with Eddie, so he took the risk." Wanda said, "HYDRA was always hunting them. But they managed to stay off radar for many many years."

"But they died in a car accident." Bucky said, "That's what Y/N and Eddie told us."

"No. It was HYDRA. They made it look like an accident. Both Y/N and Ed don't know the truth, for them it's just a car accident." Wanda said.

"And why is HYDRA after her only?" Steve said. "Why not Ed too?"

Wanda sighed, "Because Y/N took after her mother. She's a witch."

"Oh fuck." Bucky groaned.

"But they wanted to kill her mom." Steve said.

"I know. But they think Y/N is stronger than her. They want to use her maybe." Wanda said, "She just doesn't know it."

"Who is Rumlow?" Steve asked.

"Him? He was a customer who came to the cafe. Y/N had told me that he said he liked her and all that." Wanda said, confirming to Steve that you were telling the truth.

"He's HYDRA, babe." Bucky said. "Maybe he was trying to make Y/N come with him willingly. But she didn't, so they chose the hard way."

"Okay." Wanda sighed, "I'll see over the CCTV footage."

"Okay." Bucky nodded, "Why didn't you tell me?"

"I had no idea that I'd need to. I've been with Y/N ever since she came to the city.  She doesn't know about me." Wanda said. "But I swear, everything between us was real. I didn't do it just to be in Y/N's life."

"It's fine." Bucky smiled at her and moved to hug her. "You did what was right."

Steve though about what Wanda had said. What you told him about Rumlow and what she said, it was all right. "Can we see the footage right now?"

"Sure." Wanda said.

"Here. This was the first time he ever came." Wanda pointed at Rumlow, standing at the counter.

Steve and Bucky saw all the footage, and then the one when Rumlow had taken your phone, "Wait, he took her phone?"

"Yeah. I wasn't there so I don't know. He took her phone and went outside for a minute." Wanda said as she looked at the footage.

"Are there cameras outside?" Bucky asked.

"Yeah. Wait a minute." Wanda taped on the keyboard and the footage from outside came, "Look."

Steve and Bucky could see Rumlow doing something on the phone and then putting a device inside, "What the hell?"

"He hacked her phone. That's how he knew every single thing." Bucky said.

"Yeah." Steve nodded. "We have to go home. They must know by now that I believed them."

"Yes, you idiot! Let's go."
