Chapter 8

"Young Master Wei...we would like to invite you to a banquet, a week from now. It will be held in Lanling Jin"

Jin Zixuan asked approaching them before Wei Wuxian could leave.

Wei Wuxian thought about it for a minute before looking at Jin Zixuan with the same blank stare.

"I'll go"

He said before disappearing from resentment.

Wei Wuxian appeared back to the house they were staying.

Lan Wangji jumped a little at the sudden presence but then relaxed realizing it was only his Wei Ying.

"Wei Ying..."

Wei Wuxian turned to him ands smiled.

"Lan Zhan--
*cough* *cough*

He cut as he started coughing his lungs out.

Lan Wangji immediately went to his side and guided him to the soft cushion.

"Stay, I will get Wen Qing to treat you"

Wei Wuxian only nodded as his coughing fit had come to a stop.

Lan Wangji left and went outside, seeing Wen Qing looking at some herbs that grows nearby.

"Wen Qing!"

Lan Wangji called and Wen Qing turned to him.

"Wangji?"

"I need you to treat Wei Ying"

Lan Wangji said and Wen Qing frowned before nodding as both of them went back inside the house.

"Wangji, there's no need to worry. He's fine"

Lan Wangji nodded at her and just that, Wen Ning came with a crying Wei Yuan.

"Wangji-Ge!"

Lan Wangji smiled faintly as Wen Ning put Wei Yuan in his arms as the baby started to calm down after knowing he was in his Baba's arms.

"Me and A-Ning will leave you and A-Yuan here"

Wen Qing gave him a smile before leaving with Wen Ning.

Lan Wangji sat at a chair near the bed where Wei Wuxian was sleeping.

Wei Yuan was happily babbling baby noises while playing with Lan Wangji's hair giggling every now and then.

Lan Wangji looked down at his son and kissed his little forehead and as a result, Wei Yuan sneezed causing Lan Wangji to chuckle.

"You're so cute Lan Zhan"

He heard and turn to Wei Wuxian who was smiling at him.

Lan Wangji pouted as his ears turned red.

Wei Yuan seemed to have found it funny as he began to giggle.

"Look he thinks your cute too"

Wei Wuxian said hearing Wei Yuan giggle as he slowly sat up.

"He really looks a lot like you Lan Zhan"

"Mn..."

"Lan Zhan, I was invited to go to the banquet in Lanling a week from now. Your brother also looks forward in seeing you again. Would you and our little bunny come with me?"

Lan Wangji was surprised and had second thoughts.

"But if you're not ready to let them know about A-Yuan, it's fine cause what if it could bring harm to our little bunny...I know you're thinking about his safety and so am I."

Wei Wuxian said reassuring Lan Wangji.

"No..it's fine, Xiongzhang deserves to know. Besides...I know you won't let them hurt us"

Lan Wangji said and Wei Yuan let out a loud 'Bah' looking at Wei Wuxian.

Wei Wuxian laughed and went to hug Lan Wangji from behind so he can also see Wei Yuan and to also not crush him.

"Even our son agreed"

Lan Wangji said as he smirked.

Wei Wuxian blushed and laughed once again before kissing the back of the neck of Lan Wangji.

"I love you Lan Zhan"

"I love you both so much"

"Mn..I love you too Wei Ying and our son"

A week later, they got ready for the banquet.

Wen Qing and Wen Ning were staying since they didn't want to attract any attention to them.

Lan Wangji had just finished getting ready while the maiden corpses helped their son get ready.

Two days ago, they had moved inside the burial mounds to be protected better, since Wei Wuxian can control the resentment it won't be able to harm them.

The resentment had treated them with respect.

The fierce corpses would help around their place, they were even the ones who had built their house.

Lan Wangji was thankful for that.

"Lan Zhan! Me and A-Yuan are ready!"

Wei Wuxian said getting out of the house.

Lan Wangji turned around and saw the two.

Wei Yuan was in a sitting position in Wei Wuxian's arms.

Wei Wuxian was wearing his Yilling patriarch robes with his hair in a half ponytail while Wei Yuan was wearing a white and red baby robes that the maiden corpses had made for him.

Wei Wuxian stopped when he saw Lan Wangji.

Lan Wangji was wearing white and blue robes that has blue clouds imprint on the bottom and his hair was in a half bun with a jade pin to secure it.

Wei Wuxian blushed and went to kiss Lan Wangji on the cheek.

Lan Wangji smiled as he took Wei Yuan from Wei Wuxian.

"Wei Ying, let's go"

Lan Wangji said hooking his free hand to Wei Wuxian as Wei Wuxian had teleported them using resentment.

They arrived in the gates of Lanling. The guards were surprised to see them but immediately opened the gates for them to enter..

They entered and walked towards the front doors as Wei Wuxian opened it for Lan Wangji.

Hearing the door open, all cultivators and servants who were inside turned their heads to see who had arrived, they were surprise to see Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian.

But what surprised them the most was the little infant in Lan Wangji's arms.

Lan Xichen was the first one to recover as he walked towards his brother with a smile. He missed his brother dearly and he was happy Lan Wangji was doing fine.

"Wangji.."

Lan Xichen called out as he stood in front of them, having an urge to just hug his little brother.

"Xiongzhang."

Lan Wangji gave a faint smile and Wei Wuxian saw the look on Lan Xichen's face immediately took A-Yuan from Lan Wangji who flash him a small smile. Lan Wangji turn back to his brother who step closer to Lan Wangji as he hugged his younger brother.

"I missed you Wangji"

"I missed you too Xiongzhang"
