Prologue

It started when Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji spends one steamy night together secretly out of the other cultivator's eyes and ears.

They spend the night without thinking about the possibility of the consequences that may or may not bring danger into their lives.

Wei Wuxian remembered everything that had happened that night but of course, Lan Wangji didn't because he was just too drunk to remember, but he had a vague feeling what had happened because of how soar his body and lower back was.

The night before the Wen indoctrination, Lan Wangji felt his stomach hurting but didn't dare go to the doctor as he knew that the Wen indoctrination was tomorrow and he needed to get ready.

During the Wen indoctrination, Wei Wuxian noticed something about Lan Wangji, he noticed that Lan Wangji was more grumpy than they were in Gusu a few months ago, but then again, Wei Wuxian just shrugged as he thought that Lan Wangji was still angry at him. He also noticed that Lan Wangji had gotten chubby than the last time they met.

When they were sent and trapped inside the Xuanwu cave, they had to kill the Xuanwu of Slaughter, while they were killing it, Lan Wangji once again felt the pain but much stronger this time.

After they successfully killed the monster, Lan Wangji almost collapse on the ground but Wei Wuxian was there to catch him.

"Lan Zhan stay awake, I need you to stay awake!"
