Torn Apart

I hugged myself under the sheets.
I felt the damp of my pillow,
The cause of my shed.
A cold breeze trespassed on the window.
My body shivered as another weep escaped.

I fisted and crumpled the sheets.
I cried harder than ever I was.
The whole week was a devastation—
My tears deserve to be freed.
My heart should be comforted under the thick cover.

But my core twisted painfully even more.
I bit my lip to stop my sobs,
But I was much more vulnerable.
I held on to the pains and let myself mourn.

I reached for the very precious frame,
I watched you and I smiling beautifully.
Gazing at each other as we wait the camera to click.

I caressed your face from the picture,
Reminiscing those carefree times.
You and I, against the world—
World against You and I.

I wept the whole night.
Tomorrow is a big day.
A blue, dark, painful moment.
Where our memories will be buried,
Together with your body.
