As they saw the sign. Kathleen sighed in relief.

"We can't rest yet. We still need to find that helicopter." Said Kent.

"Yeah, yeah. I know." Replied Kathleen.

"So according to the intel, the helicopter is located in a forest clearing just a little bit north of here." Said Kent.

"What are we waiting for? Let's go." Said Kathleen.

The duo sprinted through the town, and directly towards the forest in the not too far distance.
But what they didn't know, was that the military group had now arrived in the town too. And are headed directly to the helicopter as well.

And as they ran through the town, they had alerted the nearby Remnants. They could hear their cries around them, and they knew that meant they had to fight.

"We got Remnants on us!" Exclaimed Kent.

Kathleen drew her revolver and Kent drew his M9. The Remnants threw themselves out of the windows of the nearby houses, and roughly sprinted towards them. Kent aimed for the head and shot, the bullet went right through it's head. Dropping the Remnant to the ground.

One jumped towards Kathleen, but she managed to shoot it in the chest, causing it to clumsily land on the ground. She then repeatedly stomped on it's head until it was crushed.

One Remnant got close enough to Kent that he had to grab it by the shoulders and try to push it back. But the Remnant was pushing back too. The Remnant and Kent were pushing against each other. Trying to knock one of them down first. Kathleen couldn't help him because she was dealing with a Remnant. And there were more on the way, meaning Kent had to act fast. So, Kent pushed with all his power and managed to tackle the Remnant into the outside wall of a house. Kent then grabbed the side of it's head and bashed it against the wall, until it's blood and brains were scattered all over.

Kent then saw two Remnants approaching Kathleen, but Kent quickly shot them both in the head. Kathleen looked over at Kent and saw a Remnant coming up on him. But Kent already heard it, and with skill and an extreme amount of luck, Kent aimed his gun behind him and pulled the trigger. Managing to kill the Remnant.

"Jesus! How the hell did you do that?" Asked Kathleen.

"I guess I'm lucky." Replied Kent.

Kent had blood all over his vest and shirt. While only Kathleen's right boot was covered in blood. The magazine in Kent's M9 dropped to the floor as he reloaded it. Kathleen then dumped all the casings from her revolver onto the ground and loaded it bullet by bullet.

"We can keep moving now, let's go." Said Kent.

They then proceeded to walk through town. Unaware of the military group following them not too far back.

"Once they get to the helicopter, we ambush them." Whispered The Leader.

"Headquarters is going to love what we're bringing in." Whispered a Soldier.

"Yeah. This is all thanks to Victor, without him we would not have been able to get this good of a target." Replied The Leader.

As Kent and Kathleen moved up, the military group followed just a few houses back. And up ahead of them was the forest. They saw Kent and Kathleen walk inside it. From this point forward, the military group would have to be more stealthy. As there were not many ways to stay hidden in a place like a forest.

So, they got on the ground and crawled. They hid under the leaves and behind trees as they followed them deeper into the forest.
