Chapter Seventeen: The Second Siege

After Kathleen and Kyle gathered everyone, and Kent got his gear, put on the ghillie suit, and also grabbed some extra weapons for Kathleen, Arthur, and Kyle. Then, they all met up around a tent with a map laid out. It seemed to be a map of the area surrounding The Marauders Compound.

"Okay, listen up everyone!" Exclaimed Arthur.

In the crowd, Kent could see Jason and Olivia. Along with their group, among the dozens of other people they had recruited.

"Tonight, we lay siege on The Marauders. And we take them down once and for all!" Yelled Arthur.

"But first, we need a plan. And I have a damn good one. This plan begins with Kent. There is a forest just in viewing distance from their compound, he will set up a sniper nest before we all head there. When we arrive, we will hide among the trees and wait for Kent to take the guards out with his suppressed sniper rifle. Once it's clear, Kyle and a group of three others will take some of the C-4 we have and rig the outside walls with them. Once primed, they'll fall back to the forest with us. When it blows, Kent will regroup with us, and help us take on the oncoming guards." Explained Arthur.

"Then, we push in further into the compound. They have more walls within the compound, so Kyle and his bomb squad will keep priming C-4 on the walls until we're inside the main area. And from there, we just let hell loose." Explained Arthur.

"Now everyone here, get geared up in the barracks and meet out front." Said Arthur.

The crowd dispersed throughout The Reserve. Kent then placed the extra guns onto the table.

"Take your pick." Said Kent.

Arthur took the M4A1 Assault Rifle, Kathleen took the C7A2 rifle. And Kyle took the Uzi, along with an SKS rifle.

"Alright. Kent, you head up there now. Take this map so you can find your way." Said Arthur.

"Got it." Replied Kent.

Arthur then reached in his satchel and pulled out four radios. He handed them all one each.

"I'll be on channel six. Let's keep in touch." Said Arthur.

"Understood." Replied Kyle.

Kent rolled up the map, attached his radio to his vest on his chest, and headed to the barracks. He grabbed a Tac-50 sniper rifle along with four fully loaded magazines. He then replaced the scope with the thermal one he found. Then he headed out the front gate and in the direction of the snipers nest that was marked on the map. But he stopped when he heard barking behind him.

He turned around to see Levi. Kent guessed that Levi wanted to come along with him.

"I guess you can come along. Just, stay quiet." Said Kent.

Levi responded by barking. Kent then resumed his trek to the snipers nest, with Levi following behind.

Back at The Reserve, the recruited people were gearing up. Luckily, there was enough guns for everyone. Kyle and a few other people gathered the C-4 and dynamite.

"You ready for this, Kathleen?" Asked Arthur.

"I hope I am." Replied Kathleen.

"And just to let you know, I can't promise that we won't die." Said Arthur.

"Yeah, I know. But I'll die happily knowing that The Marauders are no longer a threat to other communities." Replied Kathleen.

"That's the spirit. Now come on, we have an island to save." Said Arthur.

They finished gearing up, and waited outside for their army to regroup with them.

Around ten minutes later, everyone was ready. They were all gathered outside. And Arthur, Kyle, and Kathleen were standing at the front of the army. Ready to lead the charge.
