If anything Tony had tried to save his best friend Riff that night. He was determined to save him but Riff was too stubborn to listen. If the rumble was called off,it might've saved Tony's best friend Riff. It makes the heartache Tony feels even worse as he realizes that if the rumble was called off it could have possibly saved Riff's life. The rumble was what had led to the end of Riff,if it was called off,it could have saved Riff's life that heartbreaking night. It might have been led to things being different,Riff could've still been here. If things were different,maybe Riff wouldn't have lost his life.
