(Daryl's pov)
After the funerals I head into the woods needing space. I was out every single day looking for them for them just to be in that barn. Cats reaction haunts me, the way the colour left her face, the way her eyes widened they looked empty, her scream echos though my head, the way her body dropped to the floor. It all keeps replaying in my head I can't escape it. The reason she was with this group is now gone, what if she leaves?I head back to the farm but sit away up the hill away from everyone I sharpen my knife when I hear footsteps
"Moving to the suburbs?" Lori asks "listen, Beth's in some kind of catatonic shock. We need Hershel."
"Yeah. So what?" I ask her as she walks right up to me
"So I need you to run into town real quick and bring him and Rick back." I just ignore her continuing to sharpen my knife "Daryl?" She asks and I just whip my head over to her
"Your bitch went window shopping, you want 'im? Fetch him yourself. I got better things to do" I tell her she just tilts her head at me
"What's the matter with you?" She asks me "why would you be so selfish?"
"Selfish? Listen to me, olive Oyl. I was out lookin' for that littles girl every single day because her mom couldn't keep an eye on her and Cats brother went out after her and died, I went out lookin' for them every single day. I took a bullet and an arrow in the process. Don't you tell me about me getting my hands dirty!" I shout throwing my hands in the air "you want those two idiots? Have a nice ride. I'm fine lookin' for people" I tell her before sitting back down sharpening my knife
"Cats out-" she starts "she needs you Daryl don't pull away from the group" she storms off and I continue sharpening my knife a few hours pass and Carol Comes up
"Dinners nearly ready" she tells me
"Not hungry" I grunt
"C'mon" she tells me not taking no for an answer I just agree not wanting to argue with her and head down to the farmers house and sit down at the table with everyone I look around Cat is nowhere to be seen maybe she's still in the woods
"They should've been back by now" Andrea states
"Yeah. They just got holed up somewhere. We'll head out first thing in the morning." Shane reassures the group as his eyes look at me "thank you" he thanks Patricia
"You're welcome" she replies carls quiet and Shane notices
"Carl, I want you to keep your head up, okay?" Shane tells him and then I notice Aider at his feet, cats left her?
"Lori, dinner" Carol calls out
"She's not in there" Andrea states
"Where is she?" Dale asks leaning over the table causing everyone all to look at each other, no one knows
"Carl, when was the last time you seen your mom?" Shane asks the boy
"This afternoon" he replies
"She was worried about Rick, asked me to look in on Carl" Andrea informs the group
"She went after him?" Dale asks in panic
"She didn't say that" Andrea tells him
"Nobody panic. Gonna be around here somewhere" Shane tells the group and they all get up and look for her
"The dumb bitch must've gone off lookin' for 'em" I tell the group stopping them in their tracks
"Language!" Patricia scalds
"What?" Andrea asks
"She asked me to go. I told her I was done being an errand boy" I tell them causing Carl to start crying as he runs out the room
"And you didn't say anything?" Carol snaps and let's out a heavy breath
"Did you know about this?" Shane asks walking up to Dale
"No" the older man defends himself
"Did she take a gun?" Shane asks
"I wouldn't let her go out there alone" Dale tells him
"Cats out there too" Shane informs me as he opens the car door getting in the car
"With Lori?" I ask
"No with Rick, Glenn and Hershel" he tells me and then he revs the engine before heading off and I run over to my bike and drive to the bar in question and as I get there I hear Rick and a man shouting which is stopped by a gunshot. Cat better not have been hit.
