(Cats pov)
"Anyone takin' watch at the barn?" Andrea asks walking over to us
"I'll go check" I tell her and she nods so I head down the grassy hill to the barn and as I reach the barn I hear Randall talking, has he gone insane? Is he talking to himself? I hear the chains around his wrist jingle so I burst though the door and see Carl standing in front of the man instantly pulling carls arm so he's away from the man
"What the hell are you doing in here?" I ask Carl before pushing him behind me "what did you say to him?" I snap as I face Randall the noise grabbing Daryl's attention he instantly comes in and walks over to the boy holding a knife to his throat
"What did you say to them?" He snaps at the boy pushing him against the wall
"Daryl!" I shout and grab his bicep pulling him away from the boy and take carls hand pulling him out of the barn Aider following after us
"You coulda got hurt in there Carl" I warn him the young boy
"I can handle myself" he snaps at me and Shane comes storming down the hill
"What's goin' on here?" He demands
"Went to guard the barn and heard Randall talking, Carl was in there" I point at the barn
"Let me tell you somethin', you do not go near him again. You hear me?" Shane snaps at the young boy
"You won't tell my parents will you?" He pleads
"Carl this isn't about getting in trouble, okay? A guy like that, he will say anything to you. He'll try to make you feel sorry for him. He'll try to make you let your guard down. You let your guard down out here, people die" I tell him Shane and Daryl nodding beside me
"Do me a favour, man... go find your ma. Go on" Shane dismisses the boy who walks off and Daryl pulls me away from Shane
"Did he say anythin' to ya? Did he touch ya?" Daryl asks as we head up the hill where he's been sleeping the last couple of nights
"Nah, just heard him talking so went in and saw him with Carl" I inform him and he just nods I hear some footsteps so I turn around to see Dale
"Point of me comin' up here is to get away from you people" Daryl tells the older man
"Gonna take more than that." Dale tells him and looks at me
"Carol send you?" Daryl asks him
"Carols not the only one that's concerned about you, your new role in the group." He replies
"Oh, man, I don't need my head shrunk. This group is broken. I'm better off fendin' for myself." Daryl tells him
"Cat, do you mind leaving for a minute?" Dale asks and I look at him raising my eyebrows and nod
"C'mon Aider" I nod as I stand up
"Where ya goin'?" Daryl asks "don't go out alone" he warns
"Okay dad," I say throwing my hands up in defeat "I'll go and feed her and do my washing anything you need done?" I ask and he nods handing me a pair of trousers, some socks and a vest
"Thanks" he mumbles
"In a bit" I say to the men who both give a nod aider following behind me
"Thanks Cat" Dale thanks me so I head down to one of the wells fill a bucket with water and grab a bar of soap I sink the clothes into the bucket and start scrubbing them with the soap
"Hey Cat" I hear Glenn's voice so I look up and notice him walking over
"You alright?" I ask as aider walks over rubbing her body against his leg so he crouches down to pet her
"You busy?" He asks me
"Nah, not really I'm nearly done. Everything alright?" I ask and I wring out the clothes
"Wanna go a run? Like the good old days" he suggests
"Aww Glenn I thought you'd forgotten about me, thought Maggie was your new go to town gal" I pretend to cry
"Could never forget about my bestie" he tells me and I place a hand on my chest
"Aw Glenn you melt my heart" I tell him
"You coming?" He asks
"Let me hang these up quick, you grab the car and get ready I'll be there in a minute" I tell him and he nods so I quickly head back to camp with aider
"Carl you wanna look after her please?" I ask the boy and a smile instantly covers his face
"Yes!" He smiles stroking my dog and placing a small kiss on her head
"Go on then girl" I urge my dog who runs over to the young boy and once she's content I walk over to the car grab my gun and ensure my knife and sword are secure.
I open the passenger door and slide into the seat
"Ready?" He asks and I nod putting my seatbelt on
"Yeah," I reply as Glenn turns on the engine and goes to start the car but the car just jitters and throws us forward slightly causing me to burst out laughing "do you not know how to drive?" I just about get out while laughing
"Yeah, I'm just rusty" he rubs the back of his neck embarrassed and then he finally gets the car moving
"Whooo!" I cheer throwing my hands in the air while laughing
"Shut up!" He nudges and the car jolts as he tries to change the gear
"I'm going to drive us home, yeah?" I tell him and he just scoffs
After a while of driving we reach a little store which we grab some ammo, some food and kill a couple of walkers
"Whoa!" I hear Glenn say and I look over to see him falling over his own feet causing me to burst out laughing
"No way!" I cry laughing and I laugh so hard my head starts hurting again
"Karma" Glenn chuckles looking at me clutching my head
"Shut up I have a concussion" I complain and once we've raided the entire store we head back home.
