Pitiful. Dumb. Pathetic.
Those were the only words to describe how Letitia felt after seeing Morgan's new relationship displayed all over her Instagram. She didn't understand how she could just move on like that after promising to come back, not even having the decency to let her know. Who fucking cares if it had been a year since they'd been together. She saw all the damn messages that were being sent. All the phone calls. All it took was one message stating she no longer wanted to be with her or she no longer cared. She sat in the car with Iesha after finishing up her morning interviews, waiting for Kami to conclude her goodbyes. Why the hell was it taking so long? She had scrolled through the new baes Instagram more times than acceptable. She studied each photo. Morgan looked happier and happier in each one. Just rip out what is left of my heart, Morgan. The large diamond that filled the space on her ring finger let Letitia in on everything she didn't want to know.
"Hmm---I guess that explains why she hasn't gotten back to you." Iesha said, shaking her head, also staring at the photos. Letitia rolled her eyes. She didn't want to hear it. All she wanted was someone who was going to understand how she felt right now and Iesha was not the one to do that. It didn't help that she was still holding a grudge from their previous spat earlier in the day.
"Okay. I get that you're still upset about this morning but I'm not in the mood to have you beating me up about missing my ex, Iesha. So please---"
"What," Iesha said. She was offended that Letitia didn't know her better by now. "You really think that's what I'm doing? Why would I do that? Yeah I can admit I'm still a little annoyed but I'll get over it. Tish…I just see how much she's hurt you. That's all. I want better for you---you deserve it. I love you, no matter how irritated we make eachother." Iesha grabbed her hand and gave it a quick and reassuring squeeze before yelling at Kami to get in the car.
Maybe this is what I deserve.
The car ride was brief but it felt like forever before Letitia was able to get out and stretch her legs. She followed her entourage into the hotel lobby. She glanced over at the hotel bar which wasn't too crowded and right now she had no desire to go back up to her room to wallow…again. She needed a detox---and a drink---five of them. Her heart was wounded. Only alcohol could heal her pain right now. She found a comfortable seat at the bar and waited for the bartender to approach her. It wasn't long before she realized she wasn't sitting at the bar alone. Kami had decided to join her.
"Welcome, I'm Bridget. What can I get started for you ladies?" Bridget smiled a friendly smile before placing two napkins in front of her and Kami. "Two margaritas, please." Kami said. "Make one a double…and I'd also like a shot of tequila, thank you." Letitia chimed in before the long-haired brunette started mixing up their drinks. "Woah. Someone's got a lot on her mind. Care to share?" Kami looked at Letitia with concern in her eyes. She knew something had been bothering Letitia---or someone. She figured she'd play good cop since Iesha had already taken the title as bad cop. Bridget placed the alcoholic beverages in front of them and neither of them hesitated to take a long drink followed by Letitia downing her shot. She let out a deep sigh, grabbed her phone and opened up Morgan's instagram profile. She slid it to Kami before flagging down the bartender once more. "Can I get mozzarella sticks, please." She requested. "You got it." Bridget said.
Kami shook her head at the photos of Morgan showing nothing but teeth on a sandy beach. She could tell she wasn't anywhere near the United States with how gorgeous the sand and clear blue ocean water was. So the manipulative bitch decided to take her shit international---why am I not surprised. She knew how much this was tearing Letitia up inside and she couldn't find the right words to let her know it was Morgan's loss to begin with. Mainly because what she really wanted to say was that Morgan was a cheating, lying, condescending, patronizing, egotistical bitch who used and abused her without any regard for her feelings. Which everyone knew to be true---except Letitia. Instead she did what she felt was necessary in the moment and hit the block button on her profile before handing Letitia back her phone. "There's no point in torturing yourself any further---you've done that enough." She took another sip of her drink. "I know you never cared for her---I'm sure I'm the only person in my circle who actually did---but I really loved her Kami and my heart is broken. Was she perfect? No! But I didn't care because shit, I'm far from it. I just---" Letitia shook her head and grabbed a mozzarella stick, taking a bite. Kami nodded. "You're not wrong. I couldn't stand her." She held nothing back. Not even her facial expressions when it came to talking about Morgan. "But you were happy and that's what I cared about---and still do. Morgan was," she sighed, "she was just using you, Tish." Letitia eyed Kami with confusion and a bit of frustration. She didn't understand what she was trying to tell her but she didn't appreciate it. Whatever, now wasn't the time to have anger towards anyone. She had a few hours until she had to be dressed and ready for the premiere. That's where she wanted her focus to be. Once she stepped foot on the purple carpet everything in her personal life would fade for a while and she couldn't wait for that to happen.
