Morgan.
"Welp, it's a no…again! I'm starting to think they never really wanted me to be a part of their business," the woman scoffed, "they just needed a woman around so they didn't look like complete assholes. I've been laying out one proposal after another and they've all been shut down." Morgan flipped through the pages of her Essence magazine, sipping on her drink as she listened to her fiance huff and puff about the same thing. They'd been down this road too many times to count and she was really over it. "Why don't you just start your own business? You know just as much as they do, if not more. Besides, don't you want to be the big boss for a change?" She questioned. "Listening to men is so fucking overrated anyway."
"Of course I would love that but they've got the money," her fiance said, eyeing the magazine in her hand. "Missing your ex?" Letitia's face was on the front cover along with her other black panther co-stars. Morgan gave a soft laugh before closing the magazine and giving her attention to the woman in front of her. "Focus, we're talking business here. I'm not ready to leave paradise just yet," she gestured to the beachside patio they had been given once they got to Fiji, "fuck those men who think you aren't good enough. How much money do you need to start?" She asked, waiting patiently for the answer.
"At least one hundred thousand, and where the hell would I even get that…" her fiance thought for a moment, "I mean I could sell a few of my things back home I guess---"
Morgan stared at the cover photo of Letitia more intently before speaking up. "Actually, I have a better idea but I'll need a plane ticket and for you to trust me." Her fiance looked down at the magazine and then back up to her, was she serious? "And how the hell are you going to swing that?" She asked, curiously.
"Damn baby, do you even know me? I hate when you question my persuasive skills. Letitia is still madly in love with me and hoping we rekindle what we had someday. She'll be putty in my hands." Morgan smirked at her fiance who was also smirking. It was too good an opportunity to pass up in her mind and what did she have to lose anyway? She didn't care about Letitia, she cared about her business and if Letitia was the means of getting it started then so be it. With a nod she replied, "book the flight and work your magic. Just come back with the money." Morgan smiled. "Oh and uh, I may have to sleep with her just to really make it believable---she's very touchy."
Her fiance let out a loud sigh, "for one hundred thousand, do whatever you have to do."
"You know I will." Without saying anything else Morgan opened her laptop and booked her flight.Being back in the states was something she hadn't ever planned but for her girl, she'd do anything because she couldn't give up her life of luxury. If the money was gone, so was she. She got to her hotel room and freshened up, making sure to put on her sexiest outfit. After satisfying her hunger with steak and potatoes she dressed herself in an all black cocktail dress that showed enough cleavage to not look slutty and red glitter stilettos. They were Letitia's favorite of all her shoes. She knew where Letitia would be since she still followed some of her entourage on instagram. Once she entered the nightclub she headed straight for the bar. She ordered herself a "beautiful" and sipped her drink as she watched everyone get buckwild to the different hip-hop jams the DJ was spinning. She kept her eyes on the club's back door knowing that's how Letitia usually arrived so she didn't draw much attention to herself. As if right on queue she saw her ex and another woman enter the club. She eyed the woman Letitia had come with and from what she could make out about her in the darkness of the club was that she wasn't an A, B, or C lister. "Since when did Letitia start hanging with nobodies", she thought to herself before getting out of her head. She watched as Letitia and the mystery girl she was with made their way to the vip booth. Alright, give it ten minutes and she'll make her way to the restroom or something. Her patience started running thin once she realized how long winded Letitia had become with all the bodies that surrounded her. She was ready to make her move but that could only happen if Letitia was alone. Five songs and two drinks later Letitia had finally excused herself from her group. "Finally," she sighed. With one swift movement she blocked Letitia's path to the bathroom, startling her. "Morgan?" She watched Letitia stare her down like she'd just seen a ghost.
"Miss me?"
