Chapter 6 - You Know Him?

SYNOPSIS:

Alone in a dangerous continent, Lapis must figure out a new plan to stop the incoming Darklass from inflicting their wrath upon the BoltWings. With time running out and backed into a corner, Lapis utilizes everything she has left in order to find a treasure with the power to stop the Darklass.

[SCREEN TITLE: ICE KINGDOM]

[scene begins with Cryo sitting on a soft bed, clutching her injured arm, which has been patched up with silk clothes. She seethes in pain as she applies pressure on her arm. Cryo stands up, and she slowly walks toward a balcony, leaning against the fence and looking at the Ice Kingdom below]

[Cryo breathes slowly, closing her eyes and slowly tearing up. Her burnt and destroyed wing has been amputated, leaving her with only one wing. She remembers about the pain she experienced]

[Cryo turns around, approaching an ice door and exiting her room. She walks down the ice hallway, looking at a few paintings hanging on the walls. Cryo doesn't seem to cheer up as she head down the palace]

[scene cuts to Cryo leaving the palace, arriving at the pristine courtyard, where she meets with Subzero. There's a few bruises on Subzero's snout after the fight he had, and his chest is patched up with silk clothes as well. He immediately notices Cryo as she approaches him quietly]

SUBZERO: Are you feeling okay?

CRYO: [looks at the ground while holding her arm] Yeah, everything is alright.

SUBZERO: Cryo, look, if there's anything bothering you, you can talk with me. I know the last few weeks have been tough for you, but I'm here if you need me, okay?

CRYO: [sighs] Okay.

SUBZERO: I'm the "really nice to talk with" IceWing, remember?

[Cryo chuckles softly, and she nods. The two dragons embrace, and Subzero reassures her that everything will be fine. Cryo rests her head on his shoulder, and she slowly feels better]

[later that night, Cryo is standing on the balcony of her room, looking at the glowing kingdom below. She can see the Great Ice Cliff in the distance, and the continent beyond the cliff. Pyrrhia outside the kingdom is as dark as ever, almost as if the continent is dead]

[unknown to Cryo, Subzero has entered her room silently. He's wearing a satchel around his shoulder while carrying two moon globes in his talons. Subzero sighs as he puts the moon globes in his satchel and approaches Cryo from behind. He arrives at the balcony and stands next to her]

SUBZERO: Thinking about something?

CRYO: [looks at the vast continent beyond the kingdom] What do you think they're doing out there? Wann, Link, Triatus? Was Queen Glacier right about the United Claws, that they're a bunch of frauds?

SUBZERO: I don't think so, Cryo. I mean, you grew up outside the Ice Kingdom, and they've been the only dragons you had for a while.

CRYO: Is this what it's like to live inside the kingdom? [looks at all the stars in the sky] It's peaceful, and you don't have to sleep in a room with fifty other dragons you barely know.

SUBZERO: [laughs slightly] I never grew up in the palace, so I wouldn't know. [wipes the snow on the railing] I was just a little thief who stole for a living. [points at the outskirts of the kingdom] That was where I lived.

CRYO: The kingdom is beautiful. I've never been this high up. How high is this palace anyway?

SUBZERO: A couple miles, but who really got the times to measure? [slowly reaches into his satchel and pulls out the two moon globes]
