"Wake up!" I yell in Maxine's face. She moans and tries to swat me away.
"Oh come on! It's the first day of classes. You're going to have to wake up at some point," I tell her. She moans again and rolls over.
"Let me try," Khaleesi suggests. I back away from Maxine to let him. He leans over her and whispers something I can't hear in her ear. She jumps up and swats her face.
"Where? Did I get it? Please tell me I got it," Max panics. Khaleesi laughs and tells her she's fine.
"What did you tell her?" I ask.
"He said there was a spider on my face," Maxine says relieved. I laugh a little glad that she actually woke up. I finish with my hair and wait for Khaleesi and Maxine to finish.
"Where did Aer go? I usually have to wake them up," Maxine questions.
"Surprisingly enough they woke up by themselves. They went to Liam's room," I reply. Maxine raises her eyebrows.
"Wow. So Liam is actually staying in a relationship. Good for him," Maxine says.
"Well, he has had a huge crush on Aer for a while now. So, I am sure this relationship is going to last a while," I reply.
"Or you could just have more faith that Liam can stay in a relationship," Khaleesi suggests. I roll my eyes and get up from my bed. I'm getting a little impatient now. I grab my stuff and tell them I'll meet them down at our usual table and walk out my dorm room door.
The halls were somewhat crowded with people talking and trying to get to breakfast. I sigh and just walk around people that are just standing in the middle of the hall. I love this school, but people need to get out of the goddamn fucking way. I wish I could quite literally light a fire under their asses, but unfortunately I will get expelled for that. Trust me I've asked Principal Miller. Plus, even if I did I don't think I'll be able to flirt my way out of it.
Eventually, I got down to the dinning hall. The first day of classes always have everything they're going to serve throughout the year. I grab two buttermilk pancakes, a waffle, an omelette, sausages, and a piece of toast. Hey! Don't judge the amount until you've had the breakfast here. It's the best I've ever eaten. No matter how the chefs at try to remake it it's just not the same. I find Aer, Liam and Liam's friends at our table.
"Hey. Good morning. Happy first day of classes," I say to the table and sit down. Everyone says 'good morning' or 'morning'. I start to eat and Amias walks over with a friend of his.
"Yo. We have to take a picture for mother. You know she'll want a first day of school picture," He reminds Liam and I. Aer awes as Liam and I groan and get up. We gather in a line to take the picture.
"Act like you love each other. Come on," Aer laughs and Liam and I give them a look.
"Smile!" We wrap our arms around each other and smile wide. I hear the click of the camera go off a few times before Amias' friend puts the phone down, and immediately unwrap my arms around my brothers. Amias thanks his friend.
"So. Phoenix. I found a girl that might be perfect for you," Amias starts and I throw my head back groaning.
"What? You haven't even heard anything about her yet. Can you at least let me tell you about her?"
"Ooo. Who are we telling about who?" Maxine says with Khaleesi trailing behind her.
"Amias wants to set me up on another date," I groan. Khaleesi and Maxine laugh.
"No. The last time you set me up on a date. It ended badly. I'm not letting that happen again," I insist.
"Fine. If you want to be single your whole life I'll stop,"
Amias says.
"Thank you," I say sitting down where I left my food.
"For now," Amias sneaks in.
"Oh fuck you, you asshole," I yell at him. Amias laughs and turns to Liam and Aer.
"Don't think I haven't forgotten that you two didn't ask me for help."
"You know I would have, but I had a dream about us when we would be getting together and I can't do anything to mess that up," Liam tells Amias as he sits next to Aer again. Amias sits across from him and his friend next to him.
"But why though? It makes no sense."
"Yes it does. Maybe if you listened to what I had told you the first ten times it would make more sense," Liam almost yells at our younger brother.
"Are you going to let him talk to me like that?" Amias asks Aer looking at them in the eye. Aer looks at like he's got two heads.
"Yes they are. You wanna know why? 'cause you're annoying," I interrupt. Amias rolls his eyes and gets up from the table.
"I love you!" Liam yells out to him. Amias flips him off as he walks off. We continue to eat and enjoy our food before first period. I take out my schedule and look at what classes I have this lovely Monday morning.

Ughh. Fire Extinguishing is literally so boring. It's not a bad class, It's just that I've had it every year since I was 10. There's not much left I can learn from that class. Don't get me wrong. It's important and I realize that. It's just that after 7 years of that class. I think I know everything. Especially since it's my magic. I look at my other classes and see that the rest or my day isn't to bad.
The wind starts to pick a little and I look around a little. My first thought was to look at Aer. I can Maxine and Khaleesi looking at them too out of the corner of my eye. Liam asks them what's wrong and Aer looks confused.
"That's not me. I don't know who that is," They say putting their hands in the air in defense. We look around until it finally stops. Aer looks unconcerned about it, so I shrug and turn back to my food. I guess a new air elementalist got a little nervous about classes.
"I can't believe I have to take water safety. Again!" Maxine complains. I tell her the same thing about Fire Extinguishing. We all start complaining about our own safety classes until it's time for those us who have class to go. First, Maxine and Khaleesi leave for their magical cooking class. Then, Liam walks Aer to their flying class. I get up a minute later and start towards Fire Extinguishing.
I walk into the fire building and let out a happy sigh. I will never get over how amazing this building is. The entrance is a deep red with a big fire in middle. The couches and tables scattered around the room. Hallways are branching off in all directions and the doors to the different classrooms are lining down each hall. I go the stairs next to me and let muscle memory take me to my least favorite class.
The second floor of the building is the exact same except the walls are a deep orange. I go the hallway four on my left side. I go up the door and see Rm 244 Fire Extinguishing written on the metal door.
"Welcome back Princess. I didn't think your mother was going to let you come back this year," Professor Hayes tells me as I walk in. I laugh a little at that.
"That's what she tells you every year. You know she won't be able to stop me from coming. No matter how hard she doesn't want me here," I joke. "Though I think she also likes that my brothers and I aren't there fighting all the time." Professor Hayes laughs at my joke.
I sit down at my usual desk and take out my phone. I call Amias making sure that boy is awake before he oversleeps again. He picks up after a few rings, thanks me for waking him up, then hangs up on me. I roll my eyes and put my phone down just as class started.
