And That Day...
Part- 5
“Mi...shi....ka.....” A stretched and hard voice fell on Mishika’s ears.
“Mi...shi....ka.....” Mishika heard her name this time and this made her open her eyes.
“Mishika, Mishika... wake up....” Akshat said while holding her hand, trying to give her support.
“Akshat....” Mishika said while holding her head from her free hand, other holding Akshat’s.
Akshat helped in raising Mishika from the floor and made her rest on the sofa placed nearby. Akshat was restless on seeing this state of his family, first Aashi and now Mishika, he was much tensed. Mishika was trying to focus on the surrounding; she was still trying to pick the scattered pieces by recalling the happenings.
“How you here?” Mishika asked spontaneously when Akshat returned with a glass of water in his hand.
“Aashi called me.” He said while handing over the glass to Mishika, and supported her to get up.
“Aashi....” Mishika took her daughter’s name with a lot of uneasiness.
“Aashi, yeah, Aashi, that chair... Akshat...” Mishika started panicking, moving her hands here and there, and twisting on the sofa.
“What? Calm down... calm down...” Akshat hugged Mishika and make her lie down again.
Mishika was looking here and there, like a mad woman, as if she was in a sudden state of trance.
“Now tell me.” Akshat said while moving away from her, allowing her to not feel claustrophobic.
Mishika was in a deep thought, she was not able to decide that what she should do. The acceptance of weird happenings in the house were surely the subject of intense bizarre because these things are never heard, they are just felt.
“Where is Aashi?” Mishika asked after thinking a lot before uttering anything.
“In her room. Should I call her?” Akshat asked while standing up.
Mishika nodded and Akshat went in Aashi’s room. In some quick instant Mishika saw Aashi in Akshat’s arms, approaching towards her. She knew what she needed to do but it was hard for her to let go of her anxiety in that way, by transferring it on the head of his husband, making him tensed and heavy about the happenings. But she saw no other way.
“Here comes our princess.” Akshat said and made Aashi sit on Mishika’s stomach for a quick eye exchange.
Aashi was looking at her mother, smiling endlessly, as if nothing happened and on the other side Mishika’s skin was pale and short of blood. Her lips were dried and she was feeling gauche. Mishika tried to form a blissful curve from her smile but she couldn’t.
“Aashi...” She said.
“Yes mom...” Aashi replied.
“Would you tell your dad that who was talking with you?” Mishika asked in a heavy voice, avoiding formation of lumps in between of her speech.
Aashi turned towards her father after listening attentively to what her mother spoke. She smiled with a sudden spark on her face. Akshat was puzzled to hear what her wife just said, was this really that big which made her conscious, he thought.
Mishika helped Aashi to get down from her and go near her father. Akshat picked her up when Aashi reached near his legs.“What is your mother saying?” Akshat asked while looking at Aashi closely....
Will Mishika succeed in telling her husbanf about the incidents?
Will it be subtle enough for Akshat?
Or will it be rough?Stay tuned to know... :)
