Chapter 27

Hey guys! Urm... I haven't wrote this story for so long that I've forgotten what to say! I'm really sorry for taking OVER A YEAR to write!! I've been busy with school, exams, personal stuff, etc. I feel so bad :(, anywayssss, hope you're all okay and are doing good! :P

MEL'S POV

I feel my eyes flutter open. Where am I? I turn to my left to see Louis sitting in a chair half asleep whilst I'm in a bed with a white duvet and sheet.. Is it a hospital bed? It's quite dark in here.. It must be in the middle of the night. I look around and can see the white walls, yep it's definitely a hospital.

I feel a sharp pain go through my right side as I try to sit up.. oh shoot! I remember what happened! Jack..he done this! How far does he have to take things? God I hate him! Louis and I were just having lunch! Why can't we be left alone?! Stupid,stupi- I got cut off my thoughts when Louis began to wake up.

"Mel, you're awake! Are you alright?" He asked, moving closer to me. "Yeah.." I said quietly with a slight smile. "What time is it?" I ask. He takes his phone out of his pocket and squints at the bright screen that lit up the dark room. "It's urr.. It's 3:47 in the morning."

"Urgh." I reply and lay my head back down. I feel Louis kiss my forehead and then sit back down and sigh. "What's up ?"

"Nothing, it's just.. I've had enough of Jack ruining everything."

"You and me both." I reply. "I'm tired." I add.

"Still?" Louis laughs.

"Maybe.." I smirk at him and he does the same. Louis takes my hand and kisses it, making me smile and I close my eyes. "You better not be going back to sleep !" He says dramatically. "And what if I was?" I reply with my eyes still closed. "I'll have to keep you awake by shouting and then I'll get told off by the nurses and doctors. So you can't go back to sleep otherwise we'll get into trouble!"

"Actually, you'll get into trouble!" I say, laughing at the frown he pulls. "True. I'm joking anyway, you can go to sleep. I'm here if you need me at anytime." He replies and smiles softly. He then kisses my forehead and I drift back to sleep.

LOUIS' POV

I kiss Mel's forehead before she quickly falls back to sleep. Thank god she's woken up and doesn't seem too bad. I get my phone out and text one of the boys.

TO: Liam

Hey Liam, just to let you all know that Mel has woken up and is doing a lot better I think. She's gone back to sleep now, I'll text you any news in the morning, Louis.

Sent.

I lean my head on the hospital bed, not realising how tired i really am. My eyes can't hold open for much longer and I eventually drop back to sleep.

In the morning, I woke up with a stiff back from the way I was sleeping. I look up to see Mel awake, just staring at the white ceiling. "You okay?" I ask and she turns to me and smiles. "Yeah I'm fine, you?" I nod in response. "Back hurts though." She laughs in reply.

The door then opened, revealing a nurse that is holding Mel's notes. "Oh you're awake! Fantastic!!how are you feeling?" She asks sympathetically. "Yeah I'm okay. My right side really hurts and stings, but that's what's expected I guess."

The nurse smiles. "Well, I can tell you, you're brave and a fighter! I'll go get a doctor to talk to you about everything." She finishes with a smile and a little nod before leaving the room. I think most doctors and nurses nod before leaving? Hmm strange.

The doctor appeared his head through the door before walking in. "Good morning." He says before starting his doctor talk. "Right, Melissa, as you probably know, there's been a bit of trouble with your right side, next to your right hip and you obviously know why. However, you did lose a lot of blood but I can clearly see that you're progressing very well. I would like you to stay in hospital until tonight at least and we'll see where we're at then and if you're ready to go home. But just to let you know, when you do go home, there'll be not much moving around at all! For at least a week or 2, if you move around too much, you could cause further damage or make the healing time increase. I'll come and check on you a bit later on." He says and walks out the room, but guess what?! He done the nod!!!

"I might be able to come home! I can't wait!" Mel says excitedly.

"I know! Don't get your hopes up though, you might not, but.. If you do.. You're going to be waited on by hand and foot, you're not moving once!" I reply, kissing her lips softly. "Thanks... I love you Lou." I smile at her. "Anything for my princess. I love you too." I kiss her again. "Do you want anything to eat?"

"Urm nah.. Have you tasted the hospital food?!" She exclaims, making me laugh. "Yes, yes I have which is why I meant I'll go somewhere and get you something else."

"Ah clever!"

"What do you want? You must be starving!"

"I am indeed! I don't mind, surprise me!" I laugh and kiss her before leaving the room, not forgetting to do the all important nod, making her laugh a little. Before I leave, I see her close her eyes again and pull the duvet closer to herself.

MEL'S POV

I wake up from my very short nap and check my phone, 10:36am. I rub my eyes and turn on my front camera, god I look terrible! My hairs a mess and all of my makeup has rubbed off! Great!

Just as I was thinking to myself, Louis walks in. He has McDonald's breakfast and tea in hand. "Really?" I ask and he nods, smiling. "Thanks Loueh!" I say, as he hands me the food and tea. We eat the breakfast, which was very yummy, and then we carry on talking. "Do you want the others to come visit? Harry has just text me." Louis asks.

"Urmm.. Well I might be home later so they can wait there if they want... I don't really want a lot of people making a fuss around me either.."

"Okay yeah that's fine, I'll let him know." He says and types on his phone. He sends the message and then starts to type again. "Who are you messaging now?" I ask skeptically. "Hm? Oh, urm no one." He says, quickly pressing send and putting the phone away. I just look at him and rest my head down. I flinch when I get another pain in my side. "What are we going to do about Jack? We need to tell the police." Louis says.

"Yeah I know.., we'll have to call them later." He nods and takes my hand.

The evening came and the doctor re-appeared in the room. "How are you doing?" He asks. "I'm okay thanks."

"Good. I'm glad to say that you're able to go home as you are stable, however I would prefer for you to stay in for one more night and go home in the morning, just to make sure that you're 100% okay to leave hospital. You have had a nasty incident and the police should be contacting you soon." I nod and he leaves. "Looks like we don't have to ring the police after all." I say, looking at Louis. "Go home Lou, you look tired I'll be fine tonight."

"No I can't leave you."

"Of course you can, I'm safe here, I won't get hurt, just go home and have a shower and get some sleep. Just come and pick me up in the morning, I don't want to walk home!" He laughs. "I wouldn't make you walk all the way home! Are you sure you want me to go home?"

"Yes! Just go!" He smiles and comes over to me, kissing me gently on the lips. He hugs me carefully, not hurting my side. "I'll be back first thing tomorrow morning. If you need anything during the night, just text or call me. Even if I can't get into the hospital, I'll climb through the window!" I giggle and smile at him. "Stop worrying and go! I'll be fine!" He smiles and kisses my head. "Okay, love you, see you in the morning." He says and leaves the room.

I lay in the hospital bed, thinking about tomorrow when I go home. If i can't move around.. How am I supposed to shower..? Or go to the toilet? Or even get dressed? Oh god.. Tomorrow is certainly going to be eventful and interesting...and not in a good way either!
