CHAPTER SIX
"You fucking twat, that's my toast." Caleb grumbles in annoyance, my two youngest brothers bickering for the millionth time this week.
"Mine now." Flynn says with a grin, munching on it as crumbs fall aimlessly to the ground.
I ignore Caleb's reply as my eyes stay glued to Instagram.
The wedding is in two days, which means my friends are finally arriving today, before leaving the morning after the wedding.
I'm beyond exited, it's barely been sixty hours without them and I feel ready to die any second, living the rest of my life in a different state sounds absolutely impossible.
Regardless, they aren't even here yet so I'm trying not to think about their departure. That's proving to be very difficult.
"So Izzy, tell us about your friends." Says Flynn, interrupting my thoughts.
Unlike his brothers, he never fully came to introduce himself or talk, we just sort of began talking.
It's not something I particularly hate either, all these long taxing talks are beginning to hurt my head. I'm hoping Liam does this too, I haven't had the chance to talk to him individually and really aren't ready for another argument.
Who knows, maybe we'll just never be close. Aside from Caleb, I was closest to Liam as a kid, but perhaps that was all we were ever meant to be.
Close in childhood.
He's changed, I've come back to practically a completely new person. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't too, what if we just no longer fit each other's personality?
I suddenly remember I've been asked about my old friends, forcing myself back intro reality as I answer my brother's enquiry.
"Well, they're all completely different that for sure." I laugh to myself, scooping up a large spoonful of Frosties and eating it shamelessly.
The boys stay quiet, intently waiting for me to continue. Happy to further explain, I do.
"I met Owen first. We have a lot of the same interests, basketball and music. He actually introduced me to the whole musical world, we've written a few songs together."
I slightly giggle to myself at my brothers stunned expressions. "You? Sing?" Caleb says in disbelief, blinking dramatically.
"Jeez calm down, is it so hard to believe?
They stay slightly stunned, causing me to laugh again.
"Are you good?" My other brother blurts out.
At first I was shit, it's definitely not a natural talent of mine. However, with a few years of practice and a great coach, I was able to improve.
