Secret couple

Well...

I stayed at home while he went to the office. I stayed alone at home while he worked his ass off. I stayed in that lonely, huge flat that I called home and tried to distract myself.

But... I couldn't do it.

I didn't have anything to do. And I couldn't think of anything to do.

It was so boring without him at home. I had nothing to do. I didn't want to cook so I ordered breakfast but after having it and just sitting and watching the television for some time, I was done.

So, I closed the TV and tried cleaning the house. But it was all clean. He had maids come in and clean the house before we woke up...

Then I thought about fixing my walk-in wardrobe but even that was done. 

What was I supposed to do?

Cook lunch?

Nah. I didn't feel like doing that. Besides, he wasn't there. What was the point of making something nice and eating it all alone?

Then a brilliant idea came to my mind.

He'd gone to the office for his work... And although I didn't have work as such because I had been working overtime and finished everything on my plate, I could find something or the else to do in my office. Surely there wouldn't be anyone else there but... I could at least work on some personal portfolio stuff or something that was lagging. I definitely could help out someone who hadn't finished their work yet. Or I could just relax there.

I mean, I did feel more comfortable in my office than in my home. Could you blame me? I had been going to my office for the longest time. Whereas I came to stay in this house with him only a few days ago.

Surely, I could call Suha over and chat with her but I wasn't in the mood. I wanted to think about all that we had told each other yesterday and I wanted to do something.

So, I got ready, packed my work bag, and sent my husband a text. Then, I got out of the house and drove to my work.

I had expected the lights to be off and there to be pin-drop silence in my office. I had expected not to find anyone there... I had expected to find peace and solace in that place.

So, I got into the building with a smile on my face and anticipation in my mind.

I had a piece that I wanted to work on for the longest time... Now I finally had time to work on it...

But it all came to a head when I walked in to find the lights turned on. The watchman didn't tell me that someone had been there...

Did Aayushi forget to switch off the lights? Gosh, that girl. Now the power bill is going to skyrocket!

Well... I went to switch off the lights that I wouldn't need. I went and took my phone out of my pocket to text her so that I could tell her.

But before I could do anything I heard a voice...

" You are not telling this to anyone!" That was...
" But why! It's been going on for so long! And she's even married now! We should at least tell her!"
" Baby..." those voices... I recognized them so damn well...
But why did she call him baby?

What was going on there?!?!

" You want me to... Break things off with you?"
" Are you threatening me?"
" What if I am?"
" You little! I'll show you!" What were they doing in my office?!??

I was curious and very much scared at that point. What were those two doing in the office at that time?

I didn't want to confront them but I wanted to know what was happening. So, I began taking steps ahead. There was no sound coming anymore so I thought that they had stopped and had gone back to work so I started walking towards the place the noise came from.

But I never expected...

Aayushi to be kissing Kartik?!??

" AAYU?! KAT?!" I screamed in disgust and disbelief and immediately those two bolted off each other
" What is happening here?!" I was mortified. That was my work place. As far as I knew, they would even be sleeping around in it now. Besides, wasn't aayu supposed to be hard to get? When did this happen? And why did I not know about any of this?!

" Is any of you going to answer?! Why were you kissing??? Wait... Are you both dating?" I had a slight hint.

After I had kissed Sohit on my engagement day... I'm pretty sure Kartik had gotten Aayushi to agree to go on a date with him. But this... This was something else altogether.

" Why are you here?" Aayu didn't want to answer my question. Instead, she asked me a question back which took me by surprise. And the look that she was giving me. It made me feel like I was a criminal trying to get into my office on an off day.

" Huh?"
" It's a Sunday! Aren't you supposed to be with your husband?!" She asked me, " Why are you here?" And that made me frown
" No no no. You don't pin the questions on me. You both were the ones kissing in the office! Answer my questions! Right now!" I snorted back in anger now and Aayu gulped. I could see that she was scared now...

" We are dating!" And then Kartik had the brilliant idea of telling me the truth
" Kat!" And she tried stopping him but he just held her hand too tightly. That made me raise an eyebrow in disbelief at them.

And here I thought that aayu never wanted to date a guy like him...

" Since when?"
" We went on our first date 2 days after your engagement and on our third date made it official," I nodded my head. Well... That made sense.
" Aayushi... I thought you were not going to settle for anything other than V...?" I then asked teasing her and she looked at me with a completely red face

" SHUT UP!"

I just hope that we can have moments, like those two had, too...
