I'm 30 years old and not married.. "I was married and was pregnant with you at that age" that are words of my mom. My name is Amanda Babalwa Ndlanzi and this is my story
I was born on the 15th of August 1993. My birthgiver is Nandile Ndlanzi, she is half Zulu and Sesothu,my father is Mandlenkosi Ndlanzi(full Xhosa)   I have 3 siblings: Nkosinathi(40) has two wives( Nandile and Nthabiseng)  Nandi bore him, Siphokazi, Sifiso and Cebisile. Nthabiseng bore him Amukele and she is pregnant. My other brother: Thembalami(37) has a girlfriend, Thulisile. She bore him Duduzile since she was born when her dad died. She is also pregnant.  Then it's me.. I have no children, I had one boyfriend, Thato but he left me. The last born is Emihle(23) is married and has two children( Siyabonga and Elihle) that's why my mom always lectures me because Emihle is only 23 and has been married for 2 years.

Monday mornings- we all hate them. I woke up, showered and got dressed in black formal pants, a white shirt with a black blazer. I'm a CEO of my own business, Inwele Zam corporates. As you know, I have a very big afro and when I was growing up, an afro was seen as messy and too much work so I made sure that the young girls of this generation would not have that same problem. My company has over 100 employees. We have a salon, hair products, everything that has to do with hair. It has grown and has been known internationally.. I have met several other entrepreneurs that are in the same line of business, some of them are American. My company is actually quite successful, I also think that's why my mom is also complains." A woman is supposed to be a housewife and take care of his husband and children" she is still living in the olden days. Anyway, I grabbed my Louis Vuitton handbag and drove to work in my black Audi A8.
---
I got to work at 8am. "Goodmorning Miss Ndlanzi" greets one of the cleaners. "Call me Amanda!" She shaked her head, smiled and walked away. I walked to my big office. My PA, Loyiso came in.
Loyiso: yoh!
Me: yintoni ngoku?( What's going on now)
Loyiso: Ndikhathele! Izolo bendiye-partini(I'm tired, yesterday I went to a party)
Me: yoh ke sana! Ndinani namhla?( What do I have today)
Loyiso: meeting with Mrs Timberland, CEO of My hair, My crown.co.za at 9am, lunch then Mr Zulu has asked for a meeting with you
Me: Mr Zulu our IT manager?
Loyiso: yes then board meeting then after that you need to finish your vision plan. That's all for today
Me: Yoh Monday!
Loyiso: I know right! Do you want some coffee?
Me: yeah with extra foam and just two teaspoons of sugar
Loyiso: coming right up.
Loyiso is a girl, 26 years old. I met her when I was doing my last year of university, she is basically my closest friend and has been with me from the start of the business, she has seen me cry, laugh and smile. The bad thing about her is that she is a fuck-girl, literally, always has one nights stands but she actually is wife material but doesn't realise it. She came back with the coffee
Loyiso: drink quickly, Mrs Timberland just sent a message saying she is on her way
Me: yoh ndifisha ukuba kube ne traffic( I wish that there will be traffic)
Loyiso chuckled.
Loyiso: usefikile Amanda( she's here)
Me: yoh okay.
She came to my office
Me: Goodmorning Mrs Timberland, we welcome you to our company
Mrs T: thank you Miss Ndlanzi( she said it as Ntlanzi)
Me: *smiles* you can call me Amanda. Let's go to the board room.
I lead her to the board room.
--
The meeting was quite long and I have 20 minutes late for my lunch date with Loyiso
I drove to McDonalds , where we usually meet up. She was already with another guy, giving him her number. I walked in and order a spicy big Mac with a Mc flurry and fries. There was a guy behind me... Damn he was hot! He was tall, light skinned and very muscular. He had a scar on his eye that made him even hotter. I stopped drooling over the guy because he was obviously hungry coz he looked annoyed.
Guy: phuthuma phela!( Be quick)
I rolled my eyes, rude much. I finished paying and turned around to walk. He looked as if he regretted being rude to me.
Guy: awu makoti wakithi, siphalaphala sami! Ma wengane zami( daughter-in law of my family, my gorgeous, mother of my children)
Me: nx undiqela kakubi( you are disrespecting me)
I walked away from there and went to where Loyiso was, the guy was gone
Loyiso: ayike Amanda.. what's up with that guy?
Me: which one?
Loyiso: the one coming here
Me: weeh!
Rude guy came to our table
Guy: ndoni yami yamanzi( my black beauty)
Me: nx ufunani apha(what do you want here)
Guy: wena(you)
Me: sudidi dina wena!( Stop annoying me!)
Loyiso: ukubani wele mfo ndini( who are you anyway boy)
Guy: nginguSifiso owaka Mkhize, ngiyamthanda umngani wakho( I am Sifiso Mkhize, I love your friend)
Loyiso: okay, mina ndi nguLoyiso Mbatha and lona uAmanda Ndlanzi
I rolled my eyes at Loyiso, way to give out my information!
Sifiso: hawu MaNdlanzi, ujabulisa inhliziyo yami! Kufanele ngikulobole ngokuphuthuma ube uAmanda Mkhize( Miss Ndlanzi, you make my heart happy, I will have to be quick and marry you- traditional way so that you can be Amanda Mkhize)
I rolled my eyes
Me: ndicela uhambe ndifuna ukutsha( please leave I want to eat)
The waiter finally came, with the boss?
Boss: Goodmorning ladies, I'm Katlego Bogatsu, is there a problem here?
He had a deep voice but the same height as Sifiso. He was more muscular and was dark skinned.
Sifiso side-eyed him. I laughed out loud. He looked pleased to see me laughing.
Katlego: is this man bothering you, Amanda?
Loyiso: awu Amanda, two guys want you now
Me: ayibo mina ndiright ndi-single( I'm okay single)
Loyiso: yoh ayike! Ndicela ukutsha mna wena undagqubeke abafana bakho( please may I eat and you can carry on when your boys)
Me: guys please leave, nobabili ndifuna ukutsha before ilunch-break yami iphele(I want to eat before my lunch break finishes)
Sifiso: inombolo yomakhalekhukwini wakho( your phone number)
Me: uzondiyeka(will you leave me alone)
Sifiso: mhaluwube( maybe)
He gave me his phone. He had a Nokia C30, so cheap!
I added my phone number in, saved myself as Amanda Ndlanzi but he changed into" Mam'Mkhize❤️" I shook my head.
Sifiso: ngizokufonela MaNdlanzi( I will call you, Miss Ndlanzi)
He finally left. Katlego was still here
Me: ufunani apha(what do you want here)
Katlego: I was just trying to help a pretty lady like you from vultures
Me: yoh okay ke but I want to eat now, he is gone.
I just started eating my burger and Mc Flurry. Katlego realised that I was ignoring him so he left. After eating, we left. I got back to work at 2:45, 15 minutes late for my meeting with Mr Zulu. I just went straight to the boardroom and he was there with his PA, Asavela. Loyiso was also there.
Me: Good afternoon Mr Zulu, sorry that I'm late
Mr Z: no problem, shall we get started
Me: okay.
--
He presented his project, it was actually quite good. We left the boardroom and I just sat in my office and worked on my vision plan.
Loyiso: Amanda, the board meeting is starting now
Me: oh okay I'm coming.
I walked the boardroom and head of any department was here, the head of IT, head of socials, Head of salon etc. They all stood up when they saw me coming.
Me: Good afternoon team
Them: Good afternoon Miss Ndlanzi.
Me: Alrighty you may be seated.
--
After 2 and a half hours, it was done.. it is now 5pm, time to knock off. I took my vision plan home with me. "Boss?" I turned around to see who was calling me. It was Nontobeko, one of the hairstylist.
Nonto: please may you drop me off at the rank?
Me: okay, let's go.
She followed me to my car.
Nonto: you have such a nice car Ma'am. Your life is perfect
Me: I wouldn't say perfect but I like it, thanks.
Nonto: you don't realise how much God has blessed you.. and He will give you a husband soon
Me: thank you Nontobeko.
We got to the rank.
Nonto: thank you, God bless you with your hearts desires.
Me: *smile* thank you!
She got up and I drove back home.
