---
Wednesday morning---I woke up at 7am, did my hygiene process and wore a brownish pencil skirt with a shirt and my red bottoms. I tied my hair into a high puff bun and had quick instant porridge for breakfast. I applied lipgloss and some mascara. I left for work at 8:05.
--
At 12pm, I decided to leave. I packed up my laptop and my documents, locked up my office and went to Sphosethu, the deputy CEO.
Me: hey Sethu.. I just wanted you to know that I'm leaving now, im going to Eastern Cape so I still have a long way to drive and my sister is having a bridal shower but I will text you everything that goes on.
Sethu: okay thank you for telling me. See you when you come back.
Me: I trust you to take care of the company
Sethu: you know me.
Me: *smile* see you in a few weeks!
I left her office and drove home. I changed into a black sweater pant and a white tee with brown sandals since it was going to be a LONG ride. I grabbed my suitcase and put it into my car boot. After loading stuff into the car, I got in my car and started driving; this is not going to be an easy drive: 11hours!
--
8 hours later I was in Eastern Cape! I was driving extremely fast so I got there earlier. The dusty, gravel roads reminded me of my childhood that I spent here, playing in the fields with my friends and coming back home late. " Haybo! Intombazane ayifanele ukuba ingcone kangaka"( a girl must not get so dirty) that's what my mom would always say. A lot of memories came flooding back in my brain, I even saw some cows. I called Palesa.
Palesa: chomz ukae( where are u)
Me: in the gravel road.. where do I go?
Palesa: okay, turn left uma ubona 'KwaLucky'
I saw it then turned left.
Palesa: then turn right when you see ingane eningi nje( alot of children)
Me: yeah okay?
Palesa: go straight until you see 'kwa Mamdekazi' , turn left.
I turned left once I saw the shop.
Palesa: carry on until you reach the last house. That's where we are.
Me: oh okay I see the car. Woza uzovula.
She called some child and she(the child) came and opened the gate. I drove in, exhausted. It was 9:30pm when I arrived.
Me: Molo Nana( hello)
Child: molo auntie. Mina ndinguTiny (hello, my name is Tiny)
Me: unjani Tiny? Mina ndingu Auntie Amanda( how are you Tiny? I am Auntie Amanda)
Tiny: ndiyavuya ukukwazi Aunt Amanda( nice to know you)
I smiled sweetly at her. She opened the door. Loyiso looked up from her phone, saw me then came running.
Loyiso: you made it!
Me: of course! You are my best friend, I have to be here for you.
We hugged again.
Loyiso: you look....chilled.
Me: *chuckle* phela I was basically driving the whole day. Where is Palesa?
Loyiso: playing with Anathi, Vuyo's child.
Vuyo is her older sister.
Me: ouu okay.
Loyiso: let's go put down your luggage
Me: sure.
We went to a room that had two three-quarter beds. She put my suitcase on the side. I went to the bathroom and changed into my black and white pjams with my white gown because I'm getting sleepy and tired. Suddenly, alot of cars started pouring into the yard, probably like 6 or 7 cars! All the people got out.
Guy 1: Sanibonani(hello)
Loyiso: that's Vuyo's husband, Thulani, he is Zulu.
Guy 2: Molweni( hello)
Loyiso: my cousin, Thembalethu.
Girl 1: Nobuhle musa ukuganga!( Stop being naughty)
Loyiso: Themba's wife Ayabonga.
Old lady: ndicela itiye!( Please may I have tea)
Loyiso: my gran, Delisile but we obviously call her'gogo'
Girl 2: babe please massage my feet! Hey Yiso!
Loyiso: my sister, Vuyo.
Guy 3: my father, Vusumuzi. I call him Mr V and he calls me Miss L.
Me: wow.
Loyiso: *chuckle* yeah it's weird.
Girl 3: Mandisa ndiyeke(leave me alone)
Girl 4: andithi untshontshe amagwinya Ami!( You stole my fat cakes)
Loyiso: Mandisa and Mihlali, my twin sisters that my dad got when he was cheating on my mom.
Girl 5: Loyiso!!
Loyiso: thee pain in thy ass- Aunt Modise
Me: you shame ntombo!
Guy 4: *blushing on phone* and lastly, our lover boy, Simphiwe.
Me: wow, such a big family.
Loyiso: you will see on the funeral, some will come tomorrow.
Me: wow, that's nice.
They had came back with pizza so we ate that and I wanted to go sleep- it was literally 23:15! I went to the bed that I was supposed to sleep on with Palesa or Tiny. As I was about to close my eyes and sleep, Sifiso called me.
Sifiso: MaNdlanzi wami!!!!
There was Soo much noise wherever he was. The song that say"namhlanje angibuyi endlini" was playing so he is obviously at a club.
Me: yoh unomsindo( you are noisy)
Sifiso: ngiyakuthanda kakhulu, ligqoke ke ibhulukwe lakho kodwa ngeke! Ngiyakuthanda ngempela futhi ngiyaxolisa! Ngizokulobola wena soon soon so kufanele sizwane. ( I love you a lot, wear your pants but no! I love you for real and I'm sorry, I will pay lobola for you soon soon so we have to be okay)
I slightly blushed about that.
Sifiso: ngixolele sthandwa sami nami ngakhula uMa wami engaligqoki ibhulukwe, mina ngazi lokho nje. ( Forgive me my love when I was growing up, my mother wouldn't wear pants so I know that)
Someone in background: hei Mkhize!! Woza uzo phuza la( come and drink here)
Sifiso: sthandwa sami ngizokufonela kusasa.( I will call you tomorrow)
He hanged up. He is totally drunk and wasted nje, I could hear his voice. I charged my phone and just decided to go sleep.
