One week later- Saturday
After the funeral, I went back to Sandton. Emihle moved the baby shower to Tuesday so I will leave tomorrow. Sifiso organised a braai get-together with all his brothers and thier wives- I'm so nervous! I slept over at his house so it was easier to get ready. I woke up, made the bed and did my hygiene process. I decided to wear a white knee long dress with black sandals. I combed my hair into a high puff bun and added some hair clips. I put on some lipgloss and walked downstairs- it's a double storey.
Me: good morning babe.
He was sitting in his study room, busy on his laptop
I kiss him on the cheek
Sifiso: bazofika ngo10( they will come at 10am)
Me: oh okay.
It was literally 8am now! I cleaned up the house and started on the cooking. They soon arrived.
Sifiso opened the gate and 6 cars came in! Yoh this sure is a big family! They all came in and was greeting each other.
Sifiso: lona ke bafowethu, uMaNdlanzi, umama wengane zami, unkosikazi wami( this is MaNdlanzi, my future children's mom, my wife)
I blushed and looked down.
Guy 4: siyajabula ukukwazi MaNdlanzi
Guy 1: sanibona kwa Sifiso Mkhize( hello at Sifiso Mkhize's house)
They laughed.
Guy 1: nginguPhilani, standing next to me is uMaKhumalo.
MaZulu: sanibonani.
Guy 2: sawubona makoti.
I blushed
Guy 2: igama uMlondi, uma wengane zami lona, uMaSithole
MaSithole: dumelang(hello)
Guy 3: igama uNkosana, ingane yomfana yokuqala, uMam'Mkhize lona, uMaCele
She blushed and looked down- it must be nice. There was one guy who looked exactly like Sifiso!
Wannabe- Sifiso: Waze wangibuka Bo! Igama uSandile, singamawele nendoda wakho( I am twins with your man) uNaledi lona.
Yoh it looks like he doesn't like Naledi but she's soo pretty that she can make Zendaya be insecure and Zendaya is very pretty.
Guy 4: igama uSiyabonga, uMaZulu lo.
MaCele looked at me with a side eye..
Nkosana: ayi madoda, asishiyeni abafazi(let's leave the women)
They all left.
Me: hey guys welcome, I'm Amanda Ndlanzi.
MaZulu: Ziyanda Zulu.
MaKhumalo: Andiswa Khumalo
MaCele: Bonolo Cele
MaSithole:
Naledi: Naledi Zungu
Tshegofatso Sithole, I'm Tswana as you have noticed but my dad is Zulu so.
Me: nice to meet you all, should we start with the salads?
Them: okay.
We went to the kitchen
Ziya: your kitchen is so pretty
Me: thank you
Bonolo was just sitting on one of my couchs, on her phone. Naledi was also with her
Andi: wuu waqala ke uBonolo!
Me: ngani
Ziya: her attitude.. she's the oldest girlfriend in this family so she thinks that she's like Zandile from The Wife but she's actually not.
Tshegofatso: once when we had a family gathering at her house, she sat down and made us do all the work, but if we go to KZN, she is running her flat ass around
We laughed at Tshegofatso, I think I'm gonna be close friends with these three
Andi: and ntombo ungamnaki if she starts making comments, uyaphapha nje( don't mind her if she starts making comments, she is just forward)
Ziya: but ke we can't do anything about her
Andi: phela her man is the eldest man,thier sister Ntombikayise is in KZN.
Tshegofatso: and yoh when I first came here, she was rude to me and I told Mlondi but he told me to keep quiet and not talk about it
Me: yoh ke sana!
Andi: ngiyakutshela!(I'm telling you)
Me: UNaledi yena?
Ziya: *whispering* stuck in a loveless marriage
Me: hawe mah.
Andi: Sandile wants to take a second wife
Me: yoh drama!
We finished up all our cooking at quarter to twelve
Tshegofatso: we once had a big argument and Bonolo was defending her so they just became a pair of nonsense
We laughed at that again. I fixed up the table and we laid all the salads, curries etc and it looked really pretty
Andi: don't forget about the wine! Where's your wine girlo?
I laughed at her and showed her the cabinet.
The men came back.
Mlondi: kwaze kwanuka kamnandi ukudla
He went to Tshegofatso and kissed her cheek.
The women were dishing up for their men and we were lightly conversing.
Bonolo: babe sihamba nini?
Nkosana: hawu sthandwa kusemnandi nje yini manje
Bonolo: ngikhathele, my feet are sore.
Andi: *whispering* we all are
Bonolo literally just made everything awkward so we were just sitting there and eating. After lunch I put the dishes in the sink
The time was now 14:30pm
Philani: erm.. Siyabonga MaNdlanzi ngokuqoma uSifiso ngoba phela!
They all laughed
Sandile: isoka lamanyala!(player)
They laughed
Sifiso: ayi angisekho lapho*he looked at me after that*
I blushed and looked down, they laughed even more.
Nkosana: yeah erm okay ngicela usivalele ngomkhuleko( please may we end with prayer)
Oh okay they Christian? Love it!
Everyone started praying but Bonolo- suspicious
After the prayer session Nkosana and Bonolo left but everyone else stayed. We watched Fast and Furious 2 and other movies.
Tshegofatso: thank you Amanda, for welcoming us into your wonderful home, I really enjoyed myself but we have to leave manje because our baby sitter has to leave ngo4.
Me: nami shame i enjoyed.
We hugged and she also said her goodbyes to everyone.
Tshegofatso: Mlondi! Asihambeni manje(let's leave now)
Mlondi: okay erm nisale kahle nonke.
Us: nihambe kahle
they left.
Andi: girl I need your digits.
Me: of course.
I put my number in and she saved it as 'MaNdlanzi❤️"
Siyabonga came and whispered in Ziyanda's ear. Ziyanda giggled then Siyabonga left.
Ziyanda: erm Amanda chommie I need to leave, but we will chat on WhatsApp, and I will definitely plan something neh but I need to go now
We hugged and she also hugged Andiswa
She said goodbye to Sifiso and Philani.
Andiswa: won't worry, they are the sex addict couple in this family
I laughed at her
We had really interesting conversations and where she's from etc it was so nice until it was 5pm.
Andi: Chommie I need to pick my daughter up from her aunt so yeah thank you so much for today, we will definitely be planning something
Me: oh okay theres no problem
We hugged.
Andi: Philani let's go pick up Imani
Philani: awu, ibhola?
Andi: ayibo we can watch it at home
Philani: yoh okay. Thank you MaNdlanzi, ngizokubona ndoda
Sifiso: sho sho.
They left
Sifiso: yaz kuyangithokozisa ukwazi ukuthi mama wengane zami uyazwana nomndeni wami(it makes me happy that my future children's mom is in realtion with my family)
Me: bayahlekisa yazi, nami ngiyabathanda.
Sifiso: ayi sengiyalobola ke mina!
