"Hey Princess."

I turned around abruptly to see Alex. He grinned and started walking towards me.

What the freak is going on? I took in my surroundings and was astonished to see we were in a dimly lit hallway. Wall light fixtures hung on the dark walls. The hard wood floors seemed cold against my bare feet but I wasn't sure if I could feel the cold under my feet or not.

I looked down at myself. From what I could make out what I was wearing, I wore a purple dress that puffed on like a ballerina skirt.

"You coming?" I heard him say.

I looked up to see him ahead of me, waiting.

I began walking to him. As soon as I got to him he continued walking.

"Where are we? What's going on? How come-"

"One question at a time." He said glancing back at me.

"Where are we?" I asked.

"My home." He simply replied.

"Why?"

"Why what?"

"Why are we here?" I asked more specifically.

"I'm not sure."

I stopped walking. "How do you not know?"

"I just don't, okay?" He said still walking ahead.

I sighed and caught up with him.

"How come I don't remember how we got here?" I then asked.

"You sure do ask a lot of questions, don't you?"

"Sue me, now answer my question."

"I remember how I got here, maybe you have bad memory." He said, shrugging.

" No. Something weird is -"

I slammed into Alex's back without warning.

I rubbed my nose from the collision.

"Ow, thanks for the heads up." I said sarcastically.

He turned and faced me. " Sorry."

I looked in front of us to see big wooden double doors.

I glanced up at Alex to see him already looking at me.

"Go ahead, open the doors." He told me.

I gave him a confused look but then turned my attention to the doors.

"What's inside?" I asked.

"Open and find out."

I sighed again but put my hands on the door handles. Why wasn't I scared. Who knows what could be behind these doors. I didn't know what I was going to see.

Maybe he was going to show me his collection of dead bodies lined up neatly and orderly like some kind of formal tour in a museum.

But oddly, I didn't think that was the case. And oddly, I felt safe with Alex, again- it was an odd feeling.

I then began opening the doors.

I had to close my eyes briefly then squint them because all there was-was bright light blinding me.

Is this a dream?

The bright light eventually got too bright I closed my eyes again.

A few seconds passed when Alex talked.
