"I don't like your so called childhood friend." Adam said laying on my bed.

I glanced at him from my vanity mirror, brushing my hair.

"I know he seems like an ass, but he really isn't." I said. Why am I making excuses for him!

Adam huffed and crossed his arms over his chest. "Why did he decide to come back now?" He asked.

My mind began to wonder also. Why is he back after all these years? What does he even want from me? I know he said he just wanted my friendship... But is that really all?

"I don't really know." I answered.

I put my brush down and walked over to my bed and got in next to Adam.

"Lets stop talking about him." I said to him. I reached over to my side and turned the lights off. The only light that was provided was from the moon. I could still see Adam sitting against my bed post.

"Lay down." I told him as I tapped his arm. He looked like he was in deep thought.

Adam soon came out of his thoughts and laid on my bed.

I turned on my side, facing him. I looked over at his shadowed face. He was looking up at the ceiling.

"What are you thinking about?" I asked him.

A few seconds later Adam replied. "Huh?.. Oh, just thinking about school."

For some reason that answer gave me doubt.

"Oh..." I said.

So much for having sex for the first time.

And its all thanks to Alex.

Monday came like there was no Sunday... A bummer. I didn't want school, at all. I was a little disappointed that Adam and I didn't take our relationship a step further and have sex. I was ready, I think. But I was glad he wasn't with me just for sex. We've been together for two and a half years and he didn't push me into anything I didn't want.

The rest of my weekend was gloomy. I hadn't even heard of Alex since he came to my house unexpectedly after Stephanie's party.

It was sort of a peaceful weekend, but boring at the same time.

I stopped by my locker and picked a few things up for my first class. I glanced up and saw Hannah coming over to me with a smile. I smiled back then closed my locker.

"Hey." Hannah said as soon as she got to me.

"Hey. So tell me again what happened to you Friday? " I asked her.

Sometime during the weekend Hannah got back to me and explained why she ditched me and didn't even show up to the party. She said she was drinking a stash of wine bottle she had hidden in her room and took a couple sips before she was gonna come to my house and get ready. She must've had more than a couple sips because she had fallen asleep after that. First I gave her a long lecture about the drinking. Then I talked about how it was unusual what happened to her. But at least she's okay and wasn't in any danger.

"I told you, I took a couple sips of wine."

"More than a couple sips." I added while she kept talking. She paused for a brief moment taking my comment in. She gave me a knowing look before continuing.

"All of a sudden I feel myself getting sleepy and next thing I know I'm out." She said snapping her fingers.

I still thought it was a bit weird. But that sort of thing happens... If you drink too much!
