It's the beginning of March and it is so unlike me to do something this spontaneous. I'm a "plans" kind of person. Don't get me wrong, I love being adventurous, but it's always "semi-planned".

Josh is always the one who is spontaneous, one of the many things that I absolutely love about him.

As I'm on the plane, I stare out the window and look down and see the big city below me and start to think of the very first time that I saw Josh.

It was a little over 2 years ago, I was spending Thanksgiving with a few friends. My family decided to go on a cruise for Thanksgiving but with my crazy work schedule, I couldn't be gone for 10 days.

I was at my friend McKenna's for Thanksgiving in Kentucky. She's a sorority sister of mine and we attended college together. I'm originally from a big city in Texas and she is from a small town in Kentucky. Apparently, a VERY small town.

I was sitting in the living room, sipping on my white wine and talking to a few friends and family of McKenna. I heard the door open and close and saw McKenna greet the family of four. She ushered them in and I couldn't see who they were, so I went back to talking.

About 30 minutes later, I walked into the kitchen to grab some food and went back to the living room to eat and enjoy the company around me. Me and McKenna were telling some of her family members some of our crazy shenanigans to her family when he walked into the room and sat down to listen. McKenna stopped the story to introduce me to him.

"Kelly, this is Josh. He and I went to grade school together and we grew up together. Josh this is Kelly"

He was wearing a dark blue shirt and dark washed jeans. He flashed me a smile and said

"Nice to meet you Kelly"

"You too" I smiled and took another sip of wine and smoothed out my dress and McKenna went on with the story.

"And then Kelly here took off running cause she thought she was being chased by zombies."

We all started laughing

"Hey now! In my defense, I had a little bit to drink and we had just watched some stupid zombie movie. And it was Halloween and those guys were dressed like zombies. They looked very convincing"

"We couldn't find her for at least an hour"

"At least if there is a zombie apocalypse, I have a pretty good chance at surviving!"

"That's true!"

Josh finally spoke up as he looked at me

"So, Kelly, where were you hiding?"

"Well I really don't remember this, but I was told that I was hiding underneath some random person's car"

This caused another uproar of laughter and McKenna added

"Not only that, if you looked under the car, you couldn't see her. She was literally holding herself up off of the ground onto the car"

"I don't know how I did that drunk. There's no way I could do that sober!"

Josh looked at me and spoke again

"That's pretty impressive!"

"Well thank you!" I answered then took another sip of wine. Eventually, I finished my glass of wine and stood up to go to the bar to refill my glass. Josh got up about 5 seconds after I left the room and also walked over to the bar to grab a drink.
