It's that pink banshee's birthday isn't it? Kurama asked as she woke from her slumber. Yeah...

Sakura was wearing a pink strap dress. "Ino, Shikamaru, Choji." Sakura greeted. "Hey Sakura." Choji said with a mouth full of chips. "Hello billboard brow." Ino teased as she held out a box wrapped in pink. "Happy birthday."
"Thank you." Sakura said as she took the present from Ino.
Awww. Where's Sasuke-kun?! Sakura whined mentally as she craned her neck to see if Sasuke was anywhere in her sight.

You can do it! Even through I don't approve of you starving for that banshee.
Kurama cheered Naruto on as he walked towards Sakura's house. I can't.
You can! Kurama screamed. Chill. Don't need to shout.
Sorry. Alright. You're there, you can do it.
Naruto looked at the poorly wrapped present. It wasn't that he didn't know how to wrap a present, he just doesn't have the resource to wrap it perfectly.
Naruto walked in and stopped to look around. Ino and Sakura was pestering Sasuke who looks like he wants to be anywhere but here. Choji was at the food table, as usual, eating. The rest was conversing quietly. Shikamaru must be sleeping somewhere. Naruto made his way towards Sakura. But he tripped over a sleeping Shikamaru. Sakura watched in horror as Naruto tried to regain his balance but failed miserably. He fell on the table of food causing the pink icing 3 layered cake to fall to the ground with a splat. Naruto could feel Sakura's anger radiating. "I'm sorry." Naruto said as he held out the present. Sakura glared at the poorly wrapped present. She swept it to the ground and stomped on it. She twisted her foot on the present, unknowingly twisting the expensive present. "You! How DARE you! How dare you ruin MY birthday! You're just like what the villagers say! You're a MONSTER!" Rookie 9 gasped. Naruto's heart shattered. He could still handle a little of the villagers' insults but from his comrade? It just killed him. Literally. Sakura picked him up by his jacket. "Don't you dare appear in front of me ever again! Or you're gonna wish you have never been born!" She screamed at him and punched him hard, launching him into the air.
Ino ran over to look for the present. Hinata and Tenten ran over to help. Ino combed through the crushed box to look for it. Found it! She thought triumphantly as she gingerly pulled it out and tried to untwist the delicate twists of the piece of beautiful necklace. "He must have starved on his ramen to get this." Tenten said as Hinata bent over to see what the white paper that was sticking out was. "Don't bother with that. That little monster must have given me some ramen coupons."
"Dear Sakura-chan, happy birthday." Hinata read out as tears spilled out. Hinata shook in anger. She crushed the piece of card stock in anger. "Hey Hinata, don't be mad."
"You bitch!!!!" Hinata screamed and lunged at Sakura. They could stop her but they didn't. Sakura deserved it. Hinata gave her a tight hard slap across the face. She then ran off to look for Naruto after throwing that ball of crumpled paper at Sakura's face. Ino and Tenten took off after Hinata. "He may be troublesome but he doesn't deserve that." Shikamaru said sending her a death glare and ran towards where Naruto flew off to. The senseis all shook their heads at her and ran after their students along with the rest of rookie 9, leaving the birthday girl alone in mid of all the mess on the ground. She realised her mistake suddenly. It was like a punch in the gut by Tsunade. Why... Why did I do it?! Sakura mentally yelled at herself as she ran after rookie 9 to apologise to them and Naruto especially. I hope he forgives me.

I ruined everything.
No you didn't! Don't do it!!! Kurama screamed. Naruto had a few broken ribs that penetrated his lungs causing him to be gasping for air painfully and a dislocated arm. You can finally be free.
No! I don't wanna be free. Wait. I am already free! You're the best jinchuriki I ever had! You let me live comfortably! The rest didn't and the next ones probably wouldn't! I wanna spend the rest of your life watching you grow up and become the best ninja in history!

I'm sorry kurama. Naruto whispered to her.
Don't do it! She screamed and watched as Naruto impaled his stomach. Noooo!!! She screamed in anguish. The wind whipped Naruto's hair and clothing around violently. Kurama tried desperately to heal the wound. It wouldn't heal. Shittttt. They suddenly heard Naruto's name being called out.
Naruto then suddenly pushed Kurama out of him before he collapsed and fell off the cliff. Kurama tumbled and regained her balance quickly. "Naruto!!!" She screamed and jumped off to try save him. She has her nine tails swing around but she didn't care who saw that. It isn't important. Naruto is her first priority. Rookie 9 and their senseis watched in shock as the nine tails suddenly popped out and rolled on the ground before Naruto fell off the cliff and kyuubi screaming Naruto's name then promptly jumped off after him, probably to save him. They ran over to the edge of the cliff to look for any signs of them. None. The water then suddenly started glowing near the base of the cliff where there are lots of rocks. The glow grew and something shot of the water. The waves that day were exceptionally strong that day. Someone landed in front of them and was hugging a bundle carefully. Naruto...
He was pale blue-ish from the loss of blood and the freezing temperature of the water. His head was bleeding profusely from a big gash. He also had big cuts on his arms and legs probably from hitting the sharp, jagged rocks. "Don't die on me!" Kurama screamed as she set him down on the ground. Her hands glowed with chakra as she tried to heal him. She was sobbing very hard. Her eyes widened when she realised something... He wasn't healing. "Ahhhh!" She screamed out to the sky and her head fell on Naruto's chest. She slapped his arm as she continued crying and screaming. "Why?! Why can't I heal you?! What did I do wrong?! What did I do wrong for kami to punish you?!" She screamed out. Rookie 9 watched in sadness. Kurama felt someone put a hand on her shoulder. "Come on. Let me try." A voice that was gentle yet authoritative said. Kurama looked up to see Tsunade. She shifted to let Tsuande see Naruto and the extent of his injuries. Tsunade's hands glowed with green chakra. It wouldn't heal. "What?!"
Kurama thought hard about what might be the cause. What unusual thing happened? Danzo. "That bloody bastard!" Kurama exclaimed suddenly before her hands flew together into a weird hand sign. "Get ready to heal him Tsunade." Kurama let Tsunade ready her hands into healing mode before saying. "Demon style: Binding removal jutsu." It was a dangerous jutsu especially if used on a jinchuriki. It would release their bijuu which might kill them depending on the heart of the caster. If the caster truly wants to save this particular person. It wouldn't. But if the caster was just doing it for the sake of doing it. It wouldn't work. It would just kill the person who received the jutsu. Please! Please let this work! Naruto has a whole life ahead of him!
