Chapter 12

It had been chaos when Naruto woke up from his coma half a year later. Everyone had visited him whenever they had time and Sasuke visited everyday, staying as long as possible before either getting kicked out or that he was required for ninja duties. He had helped with the massages for Naruto and talked to him despite knowing he wouldn't respond. Imagine his shock when Naruto's finger twitched and he started stirring.
"Naruto... Do you remember who I am?" Tsunade asked hesitantly, rookie 12 and their sensei stood around her in the big room she had reserved for Naruto. The boy stared at them all, his eyes held no expression. It was dull and that sent a pang of hurt in each of them. He frowned and tilted his head as if he was trying to study them from a different angle. "Oh god... This can't be happening." Tsunade whispered stumbling backwards.
"What's wrong? What's wrong with him?" Kiba demanded, glancing at Tsunade and Naruto who was still looking at them with his blue eyes.
"He can't remember. He can't remember anything. Not even how to speak, not even how to eat, not even how to mood chakra. Nothing!" Sasuke almost fell to the ground from the shock. The boy that brought him back from the grasp of Orochimaru is now gone... The boy has forgotten everything. He has forgotten him...
Everyone were so shock when Naruto suddenly pointed at Sasuke as if trying to find a way to get Sasuke to come closer. They looked at Sasuke to see tears had already rolled down his cheek. Sasuke padded towards Naruto and was surprised when the boy had pulled him down and held him in an awkward hug as he tried to figure out how to put his arm to hug someone. Maybe Naruto felt a connection with Sasuke and to see Sasuke crying he wanted to comfort him. Sasuke wrapped his arms around Naruto and leaned his head on Naruto's shoulder. The boy held Sasuke closer as he played with Sasuke's hair, gently tugging at each spike and running his hand across it.
Maybe. Maybe Sasuke might bring back their Naruto.
Just like how the boy brought him back.

Naruto had stuck by Sasuke no matter what and he gets upset when Sasuke leaves. Even though Naruto doesn't know him, he felt a connection with him. It was so weird but Naruto liked the feeling. Now Sasuke was helping Naruto learn to walk again. "That's right. Left foot. Right foot in front of that one. Yes. Good boy. Now, keep going, on foot after another." Sasuke said as he supported Naruto's weight. Even though the boy didn't remember how to speak, he somewhat understood what they were saying as long as they made it as simple and slow as possible. Naruto started crying when his own knees buckled. Sasuke caught him in time and gently lowered themselves to the ground. "Shhh. Don't cry. It's okay." Sasuke whispered as he rubbed the boy's back. The boy wasn't heavy at all, even more malnourish than he was before and nor was the boy tall which made it easier for Sasuke to do just about everything. From hugging to supporting to just letting the boy hold his hand for comfort. His cry wasn't some babyish wail but it was actually adult-control sobbing, almost silent even.
"Don't cry. It's okay... Let's try again ne?" Sasuke said gently as he whipped away the boy's tears and helped him up before starting their exercise again. I will get Naruto back no matter what.
