Chapter 7

"How is it going?" A figure clad in black and white murmured to their companion as they walked in the forest. "The demon tried to commit suicide. I bet he thinks that would get us off his tail." A cocky arrogant voice answered.
"He isn't suppose to know about us. I want him... I want to break that beautiful blond boy. Tell everyone to proceed to the next step of the operation."
"Hai."

"Good morning Sakura-chan! Morning Sasuke." The two's head whipped around so fast they were lucky their head didn't popped right off their shoulders and start rolling on the ground. Naruto hesitated when they turned around, staring at him with a shocked expression. "What's wrong?"
"You just called me by my name." Sasuke breathed.
"Do you not like it?" Naruto asked timidly, lowering his head as if he was waiting for a blow that would never come. Sasuke and Sakura looked at each other, confused about his odd behaviour. Kiba had said he was acting weird but hadn't gone into specifics, he had promised to explain later when everyone excluding Naruto was gathered. "No. No. You got it wrong. It sounds good. It sounds good coming out from your mouth." Sakura said, trying and hoping it would up the boy's spirits. She nudged Sasuke and hissed at him to say something. "Yeah. I like it." Sasuke admitted. Sakura stepped to Naruto and nudged him gently in the shoulder.
"You're not crying are you?"
"No! Of course not. Why would I be crying?" Naruto asked, his head snapping up in confusion. Sasuke and Sakura shook their heads in a synchronised manner, making Naruto grin a little. "What's with that look?" Sasuke asked warily.
"You two look cute together." Naruto said truthfully, he looked sincere about it. Sasuke and Sakura looked at each other before their reaction was also synchronised, making Naruto fall on the ground laughing his head off. "EH??!!??!!??!!" Naruto dared a glance up to see an Uchiha and a Haruno as red as a tomato from their necks all the way to the tip of their ears and nose. They were avoiding each other's gazes but still trying to steal glances at each other.
"You guys should date." Naruto said cutely, looked up at the pair with big blue eyes. Kurama was in his head laughing so hard, she was rolling around with tears in her eyes.
"No, Naruto. Relationships don't start like that." Sakura said, not wanting to hurt the boy's feelings. Naruto pouted and said fine, making the other two frown. He gave up that easily? Kakashi arrived to see a cutely pouting Naruto on the ground and Sasuke and Sakura still blushing.
"What's going on?" Kakashi asked, confused.
"They make a cute couple, don't they?" Naruto asked, looking up at their sensei.
"They do. Why?" Kakashi asked the blond that was getting up from his spot on the ground.
"I said they should date and Sakura said relationships don't start like that." Naruto grumbled. Kakashi blinked before smiling and patting the blond on the head. "It takes time, Naruto." Kakashi said before leaning down to whisper something in the blond's ear, making him frown in thoughtfulness. Kakashi had said they could do the arrangement of the dating considering neither would. Naruto then grinned and asked what they were doing for today but Kakashi could tell the grin wasn't from the excitement of knowing what they're doing but from having a plan to get the two on a date.
"Today! We're going to do some training! Sasuke and Sakura you two spar. I'm going to work on taijutsu with Naruto." Kakashi said, acting oblivious. He also wouldn't ask Naruto what his plan was incase the other two was listening. He would just wait for a moment to act, knowing Naruto would try to give him some sort of signal. He had noticed that Naruto was good at planning and very subtle at making signal but it would be obvious if it was directed at you. If something doesn't go his way, Naruto would always find a way to tweak his plans to suit the sudden road block so he would still end up at his destination.

"Come on guys! Let's go to Ichiraku!!" Naruto said, bouncing around all three ninjas. "Come on. Come on." Naruto said, pushing all three a little towards ichiraku. It was close to dinner time. "Geez dobe. Fine! Stop pushing." Sasuke snapped.
Ten bowls of ramen later. "Shoot! I just remembered The hokage said she wanted to see me!" Naruto exclaimed as he quickly slurped down his noodles and he bumped his leg against Kakashi's signalling to him it was time to leave. Naruto paired and jumped to his feet before waving and taking off. Kakashi came up with some excuse and poofed away 5 minutes later. Good job Naruto. Kakashi mused as he eyed the couple that is now chatting with each other as they sat side by side in ichiraku. Kakashi smiled to himself before he shushinned back home.

"You better do this right." A stern voice warned. "He wouldn't know what hit him. Then we'll all finally see the demon break! He will PAY!"
