Bella looked exhausted. Like she had been dragged through a bus backwards. Cordelia had pulled Bella to the rest room and pulled her hairbrush from her bag and began to brush her friend's hair.

"Everything okay, Bella?" Cordelia asked

"Nightmares. They have been giving me hell."

"Nightmares suck. Lighting a candle usually helps me." Cordelia said

"Up or down?"

"Up please. A braid if you can."

"Of course I can."

Bella smiled at her friend. Alice never used to do this. She would just complain and push it aside. Cordelia seemed genuinely concerned when Bella came in to school looking a bit messy.

"Come on, we have Biology together."

"Great." Bella rolled her eyes.

The two girls sat in the classroom and helped each other out with the work. Bella's mind seemed elsewhere. She had been struggling since the Cullen's left, that was obvious, but these nightmares she spoke of, seemed to haunt her. As if they were memories. This worried Cordelia. what happened to make her friend have night terrors and pull away from everyone?

Where the Cullen's hurting her? Did Edward hurt her? She hoped not, though Bella seemed far to dependent on her ex boyfriend, it is almost as if she is seeking for his validation when he is not around.

Bella looked to her friend

"Want to spend the night at mine this weekend?"

"Oh, sure. What's the occasion?"

"No occasion, I just want to hang out." Bella shrugged, picking up her bag as the bell wrung.

"See you later" the chiefs daughter smiled and headed to her next class.

"Watch it, freak!" Jessica Stanley's high pitched voice screeched. Cordelia looked to her.

"Sorry."

"Yeah, you just spilled my coffee all over me." Jessica complained. Bella walked over

"Hey Jess, it was an accident. Calm down." I praised the lord that Bella had turned up.

"This shirt was new!"

"And it can be cleaned." Angela shrugged.

"Come on, Delia." Bella pulled her friend away.

"Y'know when you take a step back and look at her, she isn't all that nice." Bella sighed

"She used to cut my hair in elementary school." Cordelia told her friend.

"I can see why you prefer to be alone." Bella chuckled and they walked to the car.

"So, I'll see you tomorrow?" Bella asked

"Of course, see you"

Cordelia held her bag as she walked to the door of the Swan household. She was nervous. She had never been to another household, much less a friends house. Getting herself together, she knocked on the door. A few seconds passed then Chief Swan appeared.

"Oh, Hi. You must be Cordelia." He smiled

"Hi Mr Swan, yeah, I'm Cordelia" She said as Bella ran to the door.

"I got it dad. Come on in Delia." Bella smiled and pulled her friend upstairs

"Nice room" Cordelia complemented

"Thanks, just put your bag anywhere. Have you ever been to La Push?"

"No, why?"

"One of my friends, jacob lives there. I have some old motor bikes. I wanted to see if he wanted to help restore them. I got three of them from the junk yard.
