Ep - 9 : A Childhood Friend

Natalie and Derek had both finished cleaning up in the office bathroom. Derek had put back on his clothes. Natalie was putting on her clothes when..."oh!" She exclaimed as Derek came held her from behind. She had worn her skirt but only had a bra on. She had yet to put on her top.

He held her from behind came close, nibbling on her ear. She smirked and turned to face him then opened some of the top buttons of his shirt. She seductively started tracing circles on his chest. He too got down to the game. He pushed her down, pinning her her on the table. Some things scattered down on the floor but they didn't care.

He put his one hand under her bra and and one up her skirt.

But just then.."!!".. someone knocked on the door. They immediately got up and looked at eachother. Derek quickly buttoned back up his shirt and "!!" the knock sounded once again.

"Coming!" Natalie shouted as she put on her top. She quickly fixed her hair into a ponytail and signalled for Derek to hide. Since, she had given a reason of-  that she was unwell and wanted to be alone - that sort. Derek cooperated.

She opened the door. It was her team's leader. He had apparantly come to hand her over some documents on their next new project and also complimented her work. After sometime he wished her good health and walked away.

She bid him good day and closed the door. Derek came out of his hiding place. They talked for sometime and then he too went out.

Natalie sighed, arranging back everything properly and gathered her things to get going.

-At evening-

Natalie had woken up from her sleep and was now sitting in her home, doing work and going through the new documents. She had her hair up in a bun and wore a cosy sweater since it was almost winter. A knock sounded on the door. "Come in." She said, not taking her eyes off her laptop screen.

The door opened and Mrs.Parsons, her mom came in. "Good evening honey. Here's your coffee" she said smiling and placed a cup of coffee on the small bedside table, along with some snacks to munch on. Natalie smiled and greeted her mother back. "Thanks mom."

Her mother smiled and was going to go back but stopped and returned then said " Oh! I almost forgot! Honey do you remember your childhood friend?" Natalie looked up from her laptop and stopped munching on a biscuit as she said a moment later "Umm no..Who..?"

Mom : Tyler! That sweet boy.. you both were so close in highschool.

Natalie : Tyler..? Hmm..that name does sound familiar.

Mom : Of course it does! I wanted to say that i met his mom Mrs. Hart again when i went grocery shopping! We talked for sometime and exchanged numbers. Turns out, They live nearby!

Natalie had by now, remembered who she was talking about. She smiled to herself, remembering their fond memories together. Although she had almost forgot his face by now..

Back in highschool, indeed they were pretty close. What started as a friendship blossomed into a relationship when Tyler had confessed to her secretly on the day of their highschool prom. While everybody else was cheering on excitedly for prom king and queen. They both were the only ones, alone in a classroom. Tyler had shyly confessed to her and like any other teenager experiencing it for the first time, she had agreed at once.

But they had never kissed, their relationship was very short lived. They had soon realised it was infact childish. They both weren't that mature yet and this wasn't meant to last. Their "breakup" wasn't even a sad one. It's just that their highschool finished and both went their own ways. Natalie had almost forgotten him...maybe so did he...until today.

Tomorrow was Saturday. So it would be holiday. Her mother said that and went that they'll be visiting the Hart's. That is Tyler and his family tomorrow. They were almost like family to her. Natalie only had her mother. Her father had passed away long ago but Tyler had both his mother and father. She remembered when she had gone on picnics with his family or he would come over to play video games and chat. They really did get along pretty well.

With that, she went back to her work.

A/N : As you all have been asking, this chapter has been made longer :) From now, Natalie will go back to solving some more mysteries and learn the nature of her power.
