Y/n awoke to find Phil sleeping beside her. She didn't know how the boy got there, but she didn't really mind. Because of all the kids there, she liked Phil the most. Phil sleepily rubs his dark blue eyes but soon opens it wider once he realises he is still there beside y/n.

He thought she would have kicked him out! "G'morning y/n~," he says in his sleepy voice. "Morning. Phil." She prepared for the day, and Phil lay snuggled up in her bed. Until she came back, she nudged the boy. "Time to get up. You slept in my bed right? You'll tell me all about it on our way outside."

Phil groaned but corporates with y/n. The two walk out of the house, side by side and taking in the cold breeze of the early morning. The sun hasn't even risen yet. Phil looked up to y/n, and he naturally admired her. He wanted to be like her, but that was most likely impossible.

"Y/n, why do you do this every morning?" Y/n smiled and looked down to Phil. "That's a story for another day!" He's never seen her smile before, so this was a huge update to him! The smile she gave wasn't small. It was noticeable, genuine and complimented her eyes in so many ways.

They make it to her favourite spot, and y/n climbed up the tree. Phil came after her, and he made it to the top, sitting on the sturdy branch beside her. "Tell me why you were sleeping in my bed?" She asked him.

Phil sighs, "I had a bad dream last night. You were running away from a monster and then it grabbed you and...gobbled you up. Then it grabbed everyone else including Mama and Sister Krone... and ate them too! I just felt comfortable sleeping beside you...y/n." Y/n smiled and placed an arm around Phil, kissing his forehead.

Where she was suddenly getting these motherly skills from she didn't know. "We will not be eaten by monsters. Because us big kids will protect you younger ones." At that moment, her spending the morning with Phil she realised something. All of them, if not all most must escape. And since she won't be able to make it with Phil because he was too young, she'll have to come back for him. Armed and ready, come hell or high water.

Some time during the day, the four of them are hanging sheets up to dry when Norman starts forming a convo. "Hey you guys, let's start playing tag in groups." He said. Y/n raised a brow but listened on anyway. "Huh? But why?" Asked Emma.

"It'll be easier for us to escape when the time is right that way." Said Norman. "Not to mention, the younger ones will die out there if they're on their own escaping. So we must keep them together." Said Ray. "Ray!! That's not cool!"It's not being cool. It's being honest." They glance to y/n who simply hung out another sheet.

"Hm? Oh. Yes. Good idea."I want you to memorise the numbers Emma." Said Ray, "will that be a problem?" He asked. "Oh, piece of cake!" Norman spoke up once more, going closer to y/n's area. "We should also tell Don and Gilda." He said to them. "But one of them could be the traitor." Said y/n. "Don't worry," said Norman.

"I have that covered!" When they played tag that day, they went according to plan. Like Ray had said a bit earlier, this was a simulation to their escape. They all panted after training, and y/n was the most tired. "Hey sit, relax." Norman had told her. She sat down taking her breath.

"Next time, I wanna be leader!" Yelled Don. "How about we take a break!" Said Gilda. Phil smiled brightly up at Emma and waved his hands to catch her attention. "That was so much fun! We should do that more often!" He yelled to Emma.

"Hehe, I agree!" Emma, Ray and Norman stood by the wall watching as they all interacted with one another. Norman hummed, "yah know...Phil...what was his score again?" He asked the two. Slowly y/n came walking over, stuffing her hand in her skirt pockets. "Umm... somewhere around 203." Said Emma.

"That's quite high for his age don't you think?" Asked Ray. "I mean, among the younger ones he was the last to be found." Emma's eyes widened, and she pouted. "Oh come on! Stop putting stuff in my head, not Phil!!" Ray glared, "you should start thinking of all the possibilities instead of singling out certain people you don't think would be the traitor!"

Y/n had at last approached them and she smiled a very small smile, glancing at Norman. "Well, Ray has a point there." She pointed out. Emma pouted but soon pushed her feelings aside, but only for a short time. "You're right.. we have to start suspecting everybody." With that said she glanced to y/n, her eyes glistening. "What?" Asked y/n. "Oh, nothing~" Emma sang out with a closed eye smile.

That night they were all in the library once more, ready to tell Don and Gilda about their mother and their home.

"That night.." started Emma, "when we went to the gate, we saw Conny get sold off to bad people." Ray raised a brow. What was this coming from? Don laughed, not believing a word she was saying! "Excuse me, but that's one funny joke!" Norman shakes his head, "it's not a joke."

Gilda looked up from her position on the table, her lips quivering, "Don..why would Emma lie about something like this? That night.. I wanted to ask about Conny. Mom was being weird. And, if we had broken the rules one of us would have owned up to our mistakes and tell mom already but...no one said anything. I started to get really worried because things didn't go back to normal. Mom, Conny. Oh Conny!!"

Gilda broke out in tears and Emma ran to comfort her, "Please don't cry~" she said, "I never wanted to worry you!" Norman walked over next, y/n sitting in a corner. "Don't worry. We'll escape." Emma nods, and Gilda stands beside Don. "Escape. That's what we'll do. And we need your help!" Don and Gilda share a look, then they nod towards the four others.

"Thank you!" Emma says. Y/n stood. She'd had just about enough of this and turned to leave when Norman grabbed her wrist. "I need to talk to you." He told her. She raised a brow but nodded anyway. They were in the corridor after the meeting and Norman spoke to y/n with Ray being present after Emma had left.

"What was that? You being silent all the time about?" Asked Norman. "What? I just have no say in your little charade." She told him. "Most importantly! Why did you two lie to them! This site situation is on life or death! They're going in not knowing they could lose their lives!!" Norman smiled, "it doesn't matter now does it? Right now our main priority is to get them on board and get ready." Said Norman.

"Besides, remember our plan." Y/n nods, looking to the window, "we leave in ten days. November 8th." Norman smiled, "exactly." Ray sighs, "you're all crazy. You're all insane. You've all lost it! The only SANE person here seems to be Y/N!!" Y/n covers his mouth with her hand, staring into his eyes.

"Chill." She said. "Just chill." For a while, the hall erupted in silence.
