Chapter 18 - Beautiful Me

*I've left a photo of what Alex looks like, its ruby rose who was allegedly in a relationship with Demi in real life but I think she fits Alex well so just going to go with it*

Alex's P.O.V

I woke up the next day, my whole body paining like a bitch. I was guessing I was at Demi's house because I didn't recognize the room. "Demi!" I shouted hoping for some help to get me out of bed. I heard footsteps and someone walk through the door with a tray full of food. Demi looked exhausted, like she had been crying. She wore one of my shirts and no trousers, her hair was loose and she looked like she was stressed. Demi placed the tray on my lap then gave me a kiss.

"Good morning Alex did you sleep well? I hope you're not in too much pain. I mean I can get you something like pills. Do you want to order from out?" Demi rambled frantically. I interrupted her. "Demi, honestly I'm fine, stop worrying. I think you forgot I'm a vegetarian though" I said looking at the sausages. Her face dropped and she began to sob. I couldn't believe it. My brave and beautiful girl was breaking down.

"I just wanted everything to be perfect, please don't leave me Alex. I'll make it work I promise, I love you" she sobbed clasping my hand. I shook my head. "Demi don't be stupid what makes you think I'm going to leave?" I asked tucking her loose hair behind her ear and wiping her tears. "You said last night, that you weren't so sure about us anymore" she mumbled her voice shaking. I sighed. 'Demi look at me, I might have said some stupid shit yesterday but I was in a bad mood. I was in pain and I had to see you crying. I'm not giving up on me and you, I love you Demi. Yesterday was a test of our relationship and at the end of it our love is still strong, so please for my sake stop crying" I explained pulling her on to my lap and kissing her face repeatedly. She was blushing and giggling.

"I have one more question" she said nervously. "What?' I asked. She sighed "What are we going to do with the sausages?" She asked pointing at the plate. We both started to laugh, God she was so beautiful, I don't think I could ever love someone else like I loved this girl.

"You know Alex, ever since you've came into my life I've become so much happier and confident. You treat me so well" she admitted proudly. I smiled genuinely. "You deserve it but don't let me be the reason you're happy and confident, you need to believe in yourself just as much" I told her and she nodded her head.

We ate our breakfast and then got ready, we were flying out to New York today because Demi had a photo shoot.

Demi's P.O.V

I had just wrapped up the shoot for NYC colour and was now browsing instagram. God I loved my fans so much, they were so supportive of me. Suddenly my phone started to ring. It was a facetime call from Alex. I picked up. "Hey" she said grinning. She was adorable, I loved her smile so much. "Are you resting well? Remember if there's anything you'd like anything at all let me know" I explained to her while she rolled her eyes. "Come on Demi youre acting like an adult, what happened to the cool Demi who stole cars and pillows?" She asked laughing at me. I blushed. "Okay, enough teasing now. I have to go, I'll see you in a few" I said goodbye and hung up.

Suddenly my phone started to vibrate, it was an unknown number. I sighed and picked it up waiting for them to start the conversation. "Hello Miss Lovato, its Barry from the LAPD" the man said nervously. "Oh hi...Barry how can I help?" I asked cautiously. "Can you come down whenever you can, we still need to discuss the night club fight. I'm afraid if it's left too late, Miss Brooks could end up in court and that would waste a lot of time and money as a matter of fact" he explained. I couldnt believe this, Alex was simply defending me. If it wasn't for her that man wouldve tried to rape me. "Okay officer I'll be sure to come down in a couple of days" I assured him. "Okay Miss Lovato, I suppose I'll be seeing you soon then" he said. "You too" and I cut the phone. I sighed, I would keep this a secret from Alex because I doubt she would let me see that creepy officer again espcially alone.
