Chapter 5 - Rough patches

Demi's P.O.V 

I had spent the whole day upset. I couldn't believe Alex didn't like me, I could have sworn she was in love like me. I tried to forget about her but her grey eyes and dimples kept on playing in my head. I grabbed my keys and headed into my car. I needed to drive and get my mind off things. I decided to go into town, and take some money out the ATM. I parked and took out 1,000 dollars as I tucked it into my purse. I was about to get into my car, however I spotted someone across the road. Whoever it was, was massively drunk. I looked twice and realised that someone was Alex! I crossed the road and ran over to her. She was dressed up in a snapback and baseball tee with some jeans and vans. She was probably having a night out partying. She was so drunk she didn't even recognize me. 

"Alex? What are you doing out alone at this time. Come on you're coming home with me". I helped her up and helped her into my car. I got in and began to drive to my hotel, she could barely open her eyes. 

Her phone started to ring. I glanced over, she was asleep. I sighed and grabbed her phone picking it up. "Alex is asleep. Can I help you?" I asked with annoyance in my voice. "Tell her that Danielle was looking for her, and don't worry I won't tell her that Alex slept with someone else. It's not the first time". She said before she hung up without waiting for my reply.

Ugh...I hadn't even slept with Alex. Wait. She said that it wasn't the first time Alex had cheated on her girlfriend Danielle. At that moment I realised Alex wasn't as innocent as I had thought. I was dealing with someone who partied a lot and was also a player. No wonder. She had played me. My eyes started to water as I wiped my eyes and continued driving.
