Tall Oaks, USA/Present Day

You stand to your feet, legs covered in mud as you brush off your arms. The idea of getting mauled to death by a dog wasn't something you exactly dreamed of.

"You alright?" You felt a hand on your shoulder, a hand that was all too familiar. Looking up to meet Leon's blue orbs, you nodded once, turning away and feeling his hand slide from your shoulder.

"I'm fine, just don't like dogs much anymore," you quipped, feeling a bit jumpy and also dirty as you hadn't a pair of spare clothes just waiting for you, so you had to stick to using your already muck covered hands to brush off as much mud from your body as possible.

The four of you continued down the stone trail, slowly but surely leading you to the gate that the key would unlock, the key you held onto tightly. You allowed the rain to pelt your body and help shower off as much wet dirt and blood from your clothes as humanly possible, though it didn't work as best as you'd hoped.

"There's the gate," Cole pipes up, pointing a few feet away from the four of you. The squelching sounds from your shoes pierced your ears and made you wish you could rip them from your feet and everyone else's.

"Finally, almost home free.. maybe," you spoke softly, still brushing your arms off before coming face to face with the iron bars of the gates. You reached into your pockets and latched onto the key before placing it into the keyhole, turning it and hearing the sound of a latch before pushing the doors open with Helena's help.

"Here we are-" all too suddenly, lighting struck a tree hundreds of feet away, causing fear to spark through your veins before hearing the sound of growls just by your ear. You turned only to feel the zombie push itself into you and over the side of the gate, knocking you to the ground below.

"F/n! Are you alright!?" Helena's voice echoed from above as you grunted softly before using your arms to help stand you up. As you hadn't fallen as gracefully as you wanted to. Landing square on your face.

"Leon, what are you doing?" Helena questions, voice still coming from the same place as you soon felt a hand wrap around your forearm bringing you up and completely on your feet.

"Jesus, I-" you stopped mid sentence when you met Leon's eyes, realizing he'd dropped down to help you.

"Is she okay?!" Cole shouts.

"Yeah, I'm fine, just.. sick of getting knocked on my ass.. and my face," the last part was said under your breath as you stepped from behind Leon, meeting Helena and Cole standing several feet above you, eyes scanning downward towards your location.

"Alright, meet us at the cathedral!" Helena shouts before away stepping from the ledge and disappearing for the moment.

"Yeah.. no problem," you voiced quietly again, before meeting Leon's eyes for the hundredth time tonight. You only now noticed his structured jawline, the way his hair, split on the side, blew strands in the wind as he faced you.

"Why'd you come down here?" You inquire, obviously irritated with his words from earlier as you didn't want to be treated like a little child, but your face flushed anyway from the moment you took notice of his matured features.
