Keli.

She was an amazing person, at only seven years old she had saved the lives of four out of five our members, she was heroic in every way possible and her story deserves to be told.

The wind howls in my ears and the cold numbs my frozen face. I never imagined that wind could scrape your skin raw and bite it so hard, but we trudged on.

Keli was with us, she refused to stay and begged to go with us on a hunt, after a while I allowed her to come. It was the hugest mistake of my life.

The wind blows suddenly harder and my heart drops, we've been out to long. I knew something was going to go wrong and I was right. The sky dimmed and the monsters awaken with thunderous growls. "We have to go!" I yell over the raging winds, but it was too late. One of the monsters had caught our scent and it was already following us.

"Run!!" Someone yelled, but before we could the monster jumped at him.

If it weren't for Keli he would be dead.

Keli jumps in front of the monster, it throws her to the side saving the boy's life, her head hits a rock and her body falls limp. Someone grabs their arrows and shoots the monster until it finally dies. I run to Keli, the back of her head is bloody and she is unresponsive, "Keli!!" I scream, her frail, cold body in my arms. Tears rushed down my face and the wind blew harder and colder by every second. I knew we had to go, I was not going to let her sacrifice be in-vain, so I picked her up and we ran home, no one protested or even said a word.

A few hours later we pronounced her dead and buried her, and it was all my fault for letting her come. She was on my watch and she died, I will live with the guilt for the rest of my life.
