Knots in First Year | Bakugo x Deku

Setting the Scene:
Class 1-A just finished joint battle training with special guest Shinso. He passed his personal test with the teachers to get into the hero course, which means he will transfer in the second year! Class 1-A hopes he joins them, while Class 1-B is determined to get him into their class. Midoriya is proud of his rival for the great work, wishing him luck in his future hero track! Bakugo overheard and gritted his teeth at the positive send-off...

It is now Christmas, and Class 1-A is having their special Christmas party with one another! They do a white elephant gift exchange where they pull ribbons attached to the presents! Uraraka got an All Might ornament, and she knows exactly who it's from. I mean c'mon it's obvious, who else would put that in there... Someone else notices too, and to his own confusion, he feels angry at the sight of her smile towards the ornament. Is he jealous? Did he want the ornament because it's All Might? Or maybe because of who it was from...

Introduction:
This is a very slow-build story, sorry if you get impatient LOL but it's necessary trust me. The chapters start out very short but get longer as the story goes on I promise. I don't always indicate it, but when characters are saying something to themselves in their head the thought is italicized. Just thought I'd mention it so no one gets confused and is like wHy Is It LiKe ThAt. Also, I'm honestly going to try my best to stick to a story where the league of villains is irrelevant in this plot, it's too complicated to have to write about everything already going on with every single relevant character at this point in the story I'm starting at, PLUS all the additions that make it fan fiction. They still exist in the story, I'm just going to make sure it doesn't go all "oop there's a million Nomu now and yikes big bad Shigaraki is practically All for One 2.0 and Deku has 4378546 quirks and BOOM! vigilante Deku and then KAZAM! we found out the traitor and WOWZA! All for One is back and POW POW big final fight" and all that jazz. I'm focusing on keeping the story as simple as I can with new additions. That's why I chose the point of the timeline we are starting on. Also in my plot, the work-study program is still on hold, so no "canon" Endeavor agency big three boys work-study arc in this story.
