Knots in First Year | Bakugo x Deku

Chapter 13

Katsuki had to catch his breath first before he realized what was happening. Izuku had the blonde pinned to the ground, his hands on the wrists of the boy under him. He was literally straddled on top of Katsuki. They both just huffed as dirt and ash was wafting around their bodies. In mere moments they could see each other's faces. Izuku was panting heavily, and Katsuki held his breath for a moment to take in the situation. His crush was on top of him and he had no idea how to think properly anymore. Izuku huffing on top of him was a sight he'd never be able to get out of his head- in a good way (for the moment).

Izuku on the other hand was taking in HIS crush's shocked and defeated face. He felt bad, but he knew logically that Katsuki was okay and not hurt. He wanted to make sure Katsuki was okay, but then he suddenly stopped thinking clearly as he leaned forward towards Katsuki slower than a snail. Katsuki got scared of this submission (as he's never even thought of this possibility before) and physically flinched. He didn't realize the type of move Izuku was trying to make, so he was embarrassed. He was embarrassed that he lost, and embarrassed that he was pinned under Izuku. Katsuki buried the initial positive feelings of this encounter and decided to react. He decided to twist his wrists just barely so that his palms pointed to Izuku, and he unleashed a couple of harmless explosions at the boy to send him off. Izuku flew off him and yelped with surprise. All Might barely saw the blonde pinned down before the dust cleared and Izuku went flying backwards from explosions.

    "BOYS! What's going on? Why are you slowing down?" All Might yelled.

Katsuki felt humiliated. Tears started forming in his eyes as the green-haired boy grabbed his own forehead in pain. Just a minor headache, but he was thrown back at what he tried to do- how he tried to- kiss Katsuki. All Might noticed both of them were suddenly acting very off and decided to end the training.

    "Only about 15 minutes went by before you were able to grab young Bakugo, well done kid. I don't know what's going on with either of you, but I think you two are a little too distracted now to keep this up, so I'll let you boys leave early. But we can't keep doing this early leaving from training. We'll have a meeting in my office soon to talk more about the path forward, for now you boys get cleaned up." All Might looked at Izuku as he nodded to him for approval to leave the gym. He knew whatever was going on, it was up to the two of them to figure it out.

After All Might left, Izuku's headache was almost gone. He stood up and went over to Katsuki who was still tearing up on the ground, no tears actually falling down his cheeks. He squatted down to his level as he examined Katsuki's facial expression.

    "K-Kacchan? I'm so-" Izuku started as the blonde interrupted him.

    "Leave me alone." Katsuki grumbled. Izuku gasped as he almost lost his balance in his squat.

    "But Katsuki-"

    "I SAID LEAVE ME ALONE!" Katsuki screamed as the tears finally fell down his cheeks. He stood himself up and intended to leave Izuku on the ground. He didn't want to act this way towards the kind boy, but he couldn't help it. His rageful tendencies don't just disappear overnight. His feelings for Izuku didn't change negatively, but he couldn't help but be mad at the forced submission from the green-haired boy. It was... new territory- for Katsuki. He mistook the adrenaline rush for fear.

Izuku almost started crying as he hurried himself up to follow Katsuki out of the gym. Izuku called out to him several times but he kept ignoring him. Eventually Izuku grabbed onto Katsuki's arm in an attempt to stop him from walking away, tears forming in his eyes at the fear of the blonde's sudden anger. Katsuki wanted to yank him off so badly, but the last thing he wanted to do was hurt him. So he simply stopped like Izuku wanted.
