I Have A Confession To Make

I woke up in a dingy cell, with stone walls, no windows, and the only light coming from beyond the metal bars that were keeping me from escaping.
My head was pounding

My heart was racing

I hardly remember anything from after I was put in the arena to fight Lloyd

LLOYD!

Oh god I kissed Lloyd, and he kissed me
We kissed each other...
I wanted to die of embarrassment, there's no way he felt the same way about me. But then why did he do it?
My mind felt like a hurricane, things blowing everywhere and the sudden pain of a headache hit me like a truck.

I must have hit my head

I wasn't in the cell for long until one of Chen's crooks came to let me out. There were two of them standing by the door to escort me somewhere but when I asked them where we were going they didn't answer.

We walked down stone corridors, there were so many passageways and they all looked the same it's a wonder we didn't get lost. Eventually, we came to a cavern carved out to look like some sort of temple. I was dragged past easily a hundred guards as they all looked to be chanting something in a language I couldn't understand. "what are they saying?" I asked right as I was pushed to my knees in front of a large stone snake that somewhat reminded me of a smaller version of the great devourer

"Only one can remain," a voice said and I looked up to see Clause standing over me.
"what the... What the fuck is going on Clause" I asked irritated. And he only smirked as he looked down at me.
"you fought well Y/N, not as well as I was expecting for someone of your history but still I couldn't expect you to beat the legendary green ninja. But even with my assistance you still lost... Disappointing" he sneered
I knew exactly what he meant by history, it was hard not to even if Id tried so hard to bury that part of my past I knew it would still come back to haunt me
I just didn't think so soon especially not here.
"what do you mean assistance?" I growled and he just laughed at me.

"tell me dear how much of that fight do you remember?" and my face dropped as I tried to think back but found I couldn't remember even starting the fight, just the beginning where I was sitting in my cell and the end when Lloyd and I...
"you bastard!" I shouted struggling against my restraints. I wanted to skin him, feed him to his own snake but I couldn't and he just walked away laughing. I hung my head choosing to stare daggers into the floor as I held back tears.
I had no idea what they were going to do to me but part of me knew, this would most probably be the end and I had to come to terms with it. Either way, I refuse to let them see me cry, I won't give that phony necromancer the satisfaction.

I only looked back up when the chanting stopped and Chen walked up to me holding a staff that was glowing different colours. He had the biggest smirk on his face. "Crystal. Such a strong element, one that shouldn't be entrusted in the hands of a child" he looked at me in disgust at the last part and proceeded to point the staff at me. It glowed and I could feel my elemental power slipping from me along with my life,

He doesn't know

Shit, they don't know!

"Please..." I begged "Please don't do this you'll kill me" but my cries fell on deaf ears and before I could find the strength to speak again it was already done. My skin pale and cheeks hollow I fell to the floor. My body burned and my arms quickly gave out underneath me making me collapse to the floor.

"take her to the factory" Chen commanded and I was dragged away. Floating in and out of consciousness my body began to feel cold, it's happening faster than I expected.
The feeling of warms arms wrapping around my figure brought me back and I forced my eyes open to be met with dark brown hues.
"Cole..." I breathed and he sighed in relief. "it's okay I'm here. Your gonna be okay I promise" he reassured and I sobbed as I pushed him away "You don't understand *cough* I'm not gonna be okay" My coughing grew worse and he frowned in reply "what did they do to you?" he asked and I knew he wasn't referring to Chen. He knew what Chen had done but this? This was something else

"There's so much you don't know... I meant to tell you but... I never had the time" I managed to rasp out before coughing again. "okay no you can tell me when your better save your strength" he demanded before picking me up effortlessly.
With the help of Karloff, his newfound friend he managed to hide me beneath one of the tarps where I stayed undetected by the guards. I can't be sure how much time passed but every now and again he would bring me food in a small attempt to keep me from losing the little energy I had left. After a while, the sound of whirring woke me up and I opened my eyes to see Zane except he was a robot?

"damn these hallucinations kicked in fast"

"scan complete, she appears to have some sort of toxin in her blood, it's attacking her immune system," Zane said right as I passed out once again from exhaustion.

"what Toxin Zane?" Cole asked worried for his little sister. "Pixel figures that it is a base of black widow venom but it is likely the spider was modified as black widows do not usually have this kind of impact on a human victim this is much more severe"

Cole swore quietly, he didn't understand how I'd managed to get bitten by a black widow they weren't indigenous to this island but he knew one thing for sure

She's hiding something...
And unsurprising he was right
