Nora POV
Nikolas and I leave the hospital after about an hour, both in good moods. I am slightly nervous about what they talked about when I was gone, but Nikolas doesn't seem upset so I decide not to ask.
"Do you want to get to the gym early?" He asks me as we walk to his car.
"Yeah, another hour won't hurt." We make our way to the car when Nikolas' phone rings.
"Hey what's up?" He greets.
I recognize Sebastian's voice on the phone, but I can't make out what he's saying.
"Dude, no." Nikolas says grumpily while giving me a look. I laugh and mouth, "What?"
"You're so whipped. Fine." He hangs up the phone and gives me a side eye.
I laugh even more, "What? What did I do?"
"Gigi wants to go out tonight, the four of us, and Sebastian was too weak to say no." This just makes me laugh harder, "Oh god."
Nikolas pouts like a child and says, "We should skip"
"No! It'll be fun. We haven't gone out like this before." He just rolls his eyes but doesn't argue, probably because he knows it would be futile.
We part when we get to the locker rooms where I see Gigi.
"You know, you made Nikolas quite grumpy." She smiles, "Oh I can imagine. But he'll just have to suck it up, because we are doing this."
I nod my head, "I agree, boys ugh".
She leaves soon after and I quickly change to meet Nikolas on the rink. We get straight to work implementing our mirror sequence in our routine. Starting our routine from the beginning, we start on opposite ends of the rink and meet each other in the middle for our step sequence and death spiral. The mirror sequence blends well in with the rest of the routine, but it's still missing something big. Our first routine stayed away from any lifts because of what happened with Kevin, but I have an idea.
"Nikolas." I say to catch his attention.
"Mhmm?" He's busy retying his skates to look up but I continue, "We should do a twist life after the sequence." At this he looks up in surprise, "Really? Are you sure?"
"Yes. I think it would add a statement to the routine."
"No not because of that because of what happened" I smile at his concern, "I'm not worried about that. I trust you." The smile he gives me is so sincere and innocent I skate over to him and wrap my arms around his neck.
"Of course I trust you." I whisper. His arms find my waist and pull me in close.
"You have no idea how that makes me feel." I pull away and look him in the eyes, which are still crinkled from smiling, "I'm glad. Now just don't drop me."
He rolls his eyes and says, "We'll see."
To start practicing the twist lift, first Nikolas gets comfortable throwing me in the air. Everytime he puts his hands on my hips my heart flutters a little, and when Nikolas notices he smirks at me. We start a little apart from each other and I skate up backwards to him to gain momentum and just when I'm close enough I bend my right leg and wait for his arms. He bends a little, grabs my waist, and lifts me in the air. I don't spin yet, but I go up and come down. He catches me safely and once he and I feel good with that, we attempt the twist lift. I repeat the same process but this time I cross my right leg behind my left to create a twist in my body before he lifts me up. I keep my arms close to me in the air and we travel for a couple seconds before I land and he catches me. The first attempt was a little wobbly because I didn't get good traction off of the ice, but once we practice it a few more times, it's perfect. We practice our routine from the beginning and add the twist lift at the end, and when we're satisfied, we decide to call it a day.
