Nikolas POV

Business in Euforia is booming. Peter invited Sebastian and me to this huge event for his company as a networking event. There's going to be a lot of important people there: sponsors, potential partnerships, and competitors as well. The only thing is, I'm pretty sure the theme resonated around ball gowns and all that shit. Which I'm not too happy about, but then again, this is a big annual event.

Peter encouraged us to bring plus ones. I'm not entirely sure how that's going to work out for Sebastian considering he and Gigi are sort of.....you know. I've checked on Sebastian multiple times since the whole thing went down, and he's knee deep in trying to make amends with her. I'm sure they'll eventually work it out because Nora's right, they love each other.

Speaking of, I think I'm going to ask Nora about it today at home after she gets home from Gigi's apartment. Today was the first day Gigi allowed visitors and Nora went over there as soon as she could. She's been gone for almost 2 hours, but she warned me before she left not to bother her while she's gone, so I've been sitting at the kitchen table looking over the contracts for the merger, getting increasingly bored by the second.

Luckily, a few minutes later, Nora unlocks the door and steps inside. She looks extremely tired and when she walks over to me I silently push my chair back and pull her into my lap. She ends up sitting with her legs on either side of my waist, straddling me. I kiss her cheek and rub her back.

"Hi," She whispers with a sigh. I brush her hair back from her face and pull her body towards mine for a hug, "Hey, how was it?"

Without pulling away she says, "I don't know if they're going to make it." This makes me slightly stiff, "What makes you say that?"

"Gigi is just so hurt, and rightfully so. Sebastian did such a terrible thing, and I know he was put in a tough spot, but to Gigi it still hurts all the same. She's thinking about moving away." At this I push Nora back to look at her, "Really? Move where?"

"She doesn't know yet, but she just wants to get out of here."

"Have they talked yet? Since that dinner?" Nora shakes her head, "Apparently Sebastian has been calling every day but Gigi never picks up."

"Yeah, he was telling me about that." Nora rubs her hand across her face and looks at me dead in the eyes, "Promise me we will never break up." I laugh, but her face stays serious, "Promise me. Because I know we haven't been dating that long, but I can't imagine this ending, and I don't want to hurt like Gigi's hurting" Her lips start wobbling like she's going to cry. My eyes soften at her confession, and I pull her even closer to me, "I promise you we won't break up." She lets out a breath and smiles before she says, "Say it in Italian".

This makes me smile while I respond, "Prometto che non ci separeremo mai".

"Good." She lets out her first smile of the night and presses her lips to mine. My mouth instantly molds to hers and soon enough she pressing her tongue to my lips, asking for access. I grant it and her tongue laps mine while my hands travel up her back to the nape of her neck. She pulls away after a second and says, "I love it when you speak Italian."

I let out a chuckle, "Why?"

"Because every girl wishes that to find a man that can speak another language, and you just remind me I already have one." She wraps her arms around me and tightens her legs around my waist before leaning her head down to my ear, "Now, enough talking. Take me to the bedroom."

The next day Nora and I are at the rink finalizing our routine before the New York competition. It's coming up in 2 days, and we are looking better than ever. Our moves are in sync and clean, with each trick flowing right into the next. But the stakes are still at the forefront of our mind, this competition is critical to qualifying for the NIDC, and getting top two will be next to impossible. But I know that our routine is unique and has just the right amount of difficulty that we can improve upon it if need be. I still haven't asked Nora about the fundraiser, but I will do it once we get back, since neither of us are looking for any distractions before the competition.
