Nikolas POV
Her hand brushes against mine in an attempt to seduce me, but I just find it repulsive. "Katerina, stop" I say to her harshly. She flinches slightly at my words and I start to feel bad, but I'm not going on these dates because I want to. After I stormed out of my fundraiser gala at the club with Nora, Logan's dad was pissed. He threatened to shut down our whole New York club if I didn't go out with his daughter. I don't know why he needs to set his children up on dates, first Logan with Nora and now Katerina with me, but it's just sad.
"Why? This is supposed to be believable" Her whiny voice says.
"I think it was pretty believable when you smacked your lips on mine outside." I growl at her. Currently we're sitting at a very public restaurant for our second "date". I hate that she kissed me, but it would look too awkward if I pulled away, so I just stood there frozen. Luckily, the pictures made it seem like I was into it.
"Oh please, that was nothing. Wait till we get back to your apartment" She flips her long blond ponytail over her shoulder, again attempting to seduce me, but like the last time it fails miserably.
"We're going nowhere. Once we're done here, I'm dropping you home." Katerina sticks out her bottom lip to pout, but I just look away and roll my eyes.
"Would you like to take a look at the dessert menu?" Our waiter walks up to us, saving me from further conversation with Katerina.
"Yes, we would love to." She purrs and I fight the urge to groan. Fuck, this is going to take at least thirty more minutes.
"Coming right up." The waiter stutters over his words looking at her. To be fair, she's not ugly. Straight teeth, blond hair, and she's pretty tall. But the only girl for me has one tooth pointing the wrong direction, brown hair, and is short as hell. As Katerina looks at the dessert menu, taking an obnoxiously long time, I think about Nora. I wonder what she's doing right now. Actually, who am I kidding. She's probably cuddled up on the couch watching Tangled for the millionth time.
Thankfully, she has no idea about these dates. When we were dating I specifically didn't tell her about the websites that write articles about me because I didn't want to feel like she was in the public eye.
"Hmm I'll take the chocolate cake. What about you babe?" Katerina's annoying voice breaks me out of my trance.
"Nothing." I tell the waiter. I can see her frowning at me in my periphery, but I don't give shit.
When he walks away, Katerina turns to me, "So, I was thinking tomorrow we take a walk through the park. I know some paparazzi I can call." God, of course she does.
"Katerina, no offense, but I would rather die than spend three days in a row with you. So no." I tell her bluntly. I know it's harsh, but god I hate this situation right now. Instead of recoiling, her eyes light up with fire. "Look Nikolas, be very careful about how you talk to me, because I can stop the growth of your business in an instant."
"No, you can't do anything. Your dad can, and as long as I keep you satisfied for however long he needs, I don't need to do shit for you." I snap back at her.
"Well then make sure to keep me satisfied." She implores. Right then, the waiter comes back with her cake and she instantly smiles, wiping off any frustration off her face.
"Thank you" She says to him, in that same voice. He stutters out a thank you and walks away. She eats in silence while I scroll on my phone to look busy. God, I need to get out of this.
Nora POV
"Why would he do this?" I cry into Gigi's arms. After I saw the article, Georgia let me go home early because I couldn't stop crying. I have a session with him in an hour, and I have no idea how I'm even going to get through it.
